Arena Locations
Where are the arenas located in reference to eachother int eh MK games. For example. Is the throne room above goro's lair in MK1? And is Shang Tsung's palace in MKDA the same as in MK1's Throne Room?
Is the pit in MK1 located to the east of The Warrior Shrine? etc.
If you look. The Palace Gates stages seems to be to the right of The Courtyard. The Warrior Shrine takes place that evening and also seems to be to the right of the Palace Gates, etc.

Well all I know about MK1 locations is that they are all on Shang Tsung's island in the Lost Sea.
The MKDA palace is not the same one. The palace in MKDA is located in Outworld and was recently built by Li Mei's people (who must be really fast workers!)
Hope this clears things...in a way. Lol I suck at explaining.

Hey, I never noticed that.
As for the MK3 arenas, they all seem to be pretty close together.
The Subway is underneath The Street.
The Bank is the building in the background of The Street.
The Rooftop is on top of The Bank.
The Bridge is probably just down the road from The Street.
The Soul Chamber is in the bottom of the Giant Tower seen in the background of most arenas.
The Balcony is one floor above The Soul Chamber.
The Pit is obviously at the top of the tower.
The Temple and Kahn's Bell Tower are probably in the tower as well, but you never know.

I remember asking on this board a few months ago if the Belltower was part of the big Shao Kahn Tower in the backround, because I wanted to make my own Shaolin Monks inspired story involving UMK3, then I got a response from Ninja_Mime saying no, but also pointing out that the Balcony is visible in the tower from the backround view, since I had never noticed this before, it led me to an obsession with where all the stages in MK3 are placed and I made a 6 page map pointing where all the stages from MK3 and UMK3 are all connected, I would be more than glad to show you guys but I don't know how to upload pictures on MKO but I can describe it in detail, try to bear with me:
Page 1: The first page was just a map of a city. The main road in the center of the page is the Street Level, the entrance to the Subway is visible on the sidewalk. The top of the page has a few buildings lined up along the road, one being the Bank. In back of that is the Giant Shao Kahn Tower (on the very top of the page). On the other side of the street is a church, or The Church. I made it so this chruch includes the Belltower to the side of it. The backyard of the Church is the Graveyard, since most churches in my town also include cemetaries in them. There is a portal I labeled Portal #3 in the Graveyard, I will explain later. The main road continues onto the Bridge, kind of like a reallife overpass, but above water. I made it so The Bridge is above the Waterfront Level, the first stage from UMK3 I included in my map.
Page 2: The second map I drew was of Jade's Desert. Somewhere in my storyline, the main character(s) would either retreat into the desert from the city, or be sent on a rescue mission to save someone from the desert. It being a desert, I didn't include very much except 2 caves, one labeled "Entrance", and the other labeled "Exit". The Exit cave has Portal # 1 outside of it (all portals will be explained on page 3).

Page 3: Map 3 is labeled "Forgotten Realms". After entering Portal #1, the characters are lead to a place I called "Forgotten World", this is where you guys fought Smoke in MK3 if you did the versus screen code. I was thinking maybe characters would fight a robot Smoke in this realm during the course of the story. Portal #2 is also present in this realm which leads to "Scislac Busorez", or "Lost" to those familiar to MKT. I made Scislac Busorez a continous world with mountains connected together by suspended bridges, possibly for a fight with Noob Saibot if you understand the name of the realm. Portal #3 is present in this realm which leads to the Graveyard.
Page 4: This map is only an overhead view of the stage called Kahn's Cave in UMK3. The stair case on the left is labeled "Cave Entrance" and the left staircase is labeled "Cave Exit". The center contains a huge MK Dragon logo, which is Kahn's lead to the Netherrealm for getting more souls. Also, his throne is located at the very top of the map.
Page 5: This map is labeled "Underground". At the very bottom are traintracks, obviously The Subway Stage. My imagination got the best of me and I made the tracks lead to the top of the page to hidden catacombs, these lead to the Soul Chamber. On the top of the map are stair cases leading to Shao Kahn's Fortress.
Page 6: This map is labeled "Shao Kahn Fortress". That stair case from Map 5 leads to the Balcony on the bottom of the page. Center of the page is Noob's Dorfen, which leads to the Pit 3.

Here is a brief summary of my story:
Character(s) (Kung Lao and Liu Kang) start out in Street, cannot access Bank or Church or Graveyard yet. Every living person except MK characters are dead. City is meant to be like Resident Evil 2 or 3 style mood. Enemies include Tarkatas, & Centaurs. LK and KL fight their way to the Bridge/Waterfront and meet up with Raiden.
He sends LK and KL to find Nightwolf, Jade and Sub-Zero who are out in the desert, there are Lin Kuei Cyborgs and Extermination Squads combing the desert for these 3. Boss Battles in the desert includes Cyrax and Sektor with Sub-Zero as help. As LK and KL enter the cave, Kitana and Jade are inside, Scorpion is the Boss because the Cave includes an entrance from Netherrealm.
Nightwolf is found after exiting the Cave, Mileena is present, but Jade and Kitana will handle her. Nightwolf uses his Shaman magic to open Portal #1 which leads to Smoke's Portal for a boss battle with Sub-Zero again as help. Portal #2 opens leading to Scislac Busorez for a Boss fight with Noob Saibot, again with Sub-Zero for help. Portal #3 opens leading to Graveyard.

Kabal is found in the Graveyard, but not dead though. He doesn't explain himself to LK or KL but seems injurred and vengeful so he aides them through the Graveyard as they fight through Tarkatan and Centaur enemies to get to the Church. Waiting in the church are Sindel and her protector, Sheeva. A double Boss Battle with the aide of Kabal ensues. Sindel and Sheeva are beaten but not killed because they escape.
LK and KL fight their way to the top of the church's Belltower, Ermac and Rain are waiting for them. Ermac and Rain are generals in Shao Kahn's Extermination Squad, so another double Boss Battle ensues again with Kabal's help. Ermac and Rain are both killed. LK and KL and Kabal escape the Belltower and the Church back to the Street where the story started.
The three fighters notice the Bank across the street is being looted by Kano and his army of Kahn's troops. A helicopter has crashed into the Bank already. Jax and Sonya appear to stop Kano, LK KL and Kabal join them. Kano recognises Kabal, but before the truth is revealed Kabal vanishes so no one knows of his true identity. Sonya and Jax don't understand why Kano needs money in a world in which everyone is dead thus making currency useless. Kano explains he will overthrow Kahn and restore Earth to normal, making him a hero while being rich from stolen money, making himself ruler of Earth. Jax, Sonya LK and KL chase him up to the Rooftop of the Bank for a Boss fight and knock him off the edge ending the fight.

After going back to the street, LK and KL meet a man named Stryker. Being the only surviving law enforcement officer in the city, he knows that the Subway which he usually patrols lead to catacombs leading to a secret underground entrance to Shao Kahn's Fortress. They plan a secret raid by using these catacombs but Stryker will only take them as far as the catacombs entrance, but does fight off enemies along the way.
These catacombs lead to the Soul Chamber, which is being used by Shang Tsung and Kahn for their power. As LK and KL arrive, Tsung is waiting for them. He explains it was he who resurrected Sindel becuase that was Kahn's chance to claim Earth as his own. Tsung then says that LK and KL know too much and have killed too many in Kahn's Service to be allowed to live, a Boss fight engages. After killing Tsung, LK and KL make their way to a hidden staircase leading to the upper levels of the tower.
They arrive at the Balcony, just outside of Kahn's Throne Room. Motaro, Shao Kahn's Leading General is waiting for LK and KL, a Boss Battle ensues. Motaro is killed and LK and KL go through Noob's Dorfen. They run into Noob Saibot again, but before they fight Sub-Zero interviens saying he will take it form here, LK and KL make their way to the Pit 3 where Shao Kahn waits for them.
After making their way through the maze of many bridges in the Pit 3, LK and KL reach the top bridge and witness Kano watching on as Kahn impales Sheeva with a sword, then shoves her off into the pit. Kano escapes through a portal. Kahn explains that Sheeva intented to usurpe him but Kano warned him beforehand. Kahn also says she was treated as a former ally but intends to treat LK and KL as bitter enemies. The final fight takes place. KL is badly injurred but LK wins the fight ending Kahn's plan and returning Earth back to normal. The End I wrote this story and drew maps on 2-18-2006

thanks, but as I was typing this whole thing I found that I couldn't fit all that in one post, so it had to be in five posts
