Rayden fought very well against two godlike oppenents,Shang tsung and Quan chi. He can take shang tsung easily man to man.

I love both characters, both are amazing in battle. I would say it would all depend on their state of power/stamina.

IMO, it would be a tie.

If Raiden was in his mortal form the battle could go either way. In his Godlike form he would definitely beat Shang. If anybody think Shang can beat Raiden while in his God form must be on drugs.

well it seems to be that Shang Tsung cant morph no more. plus Raiden fought very well against him and Quan Chi in Deception. id have to go with Raiden on this one.

On MK Defenders of the Realm, they showed Raiden fighting (WITHOUT lightning powers!) against Shang Tsung, and Raiden won.
