Becoming the Best
Anyone know how to tackle people who just block, wait for ur move, and then deal a 13 hit combo on u.
My friend jus tkeeps doin that.
Any other tips on how to improve in the game, i am an experienced player in the other games but this is tough to master

yea, learn to fight like him, he is playing the game correctly.
try mixing high and low attacks, i doubt he will be able to block them all, and learn some style changes, so your hits count

Here's the basic blocking game as I understand it.
There are low attacks, mid attacks, and high attacks. Low attacks must be blocked by pressing Down+Block and cannot be blocked by just pressing Block alone. Mid attacks must be blocked by just pressing Block, Down+Block leaves you open to them. High attacks must be blocked by just pressing Block and just go over your head when you are blocking low or just ducking. And remember this, throws cannot be blocked by pressing Down+Block, only just Block will work.
Now there are exceptions to this these, just memorize them. Scorpion's hellfire, Jax's ground stomp, Drahmin's ground stomp, Bo Rai's foot stomp and his puke are unblockable. You either have to jump up to avoid them, or time a 3D evade perfectly to avoid them.
Another few exceptions are a few moves that can be blocked either high or low, I don't worry much about those because ot their nature. And Hsu Hao has a throw that that cannot be blocked by pressing just pressing Block, only down+Block will do.
The trick is to get some low attacks you like and use them to get your opponent blocking low, then start a combo that starts with a mid attack or throw them. Or attack them mid or high and get them blocking high, then attack low. Repeat these tactics over and over until they are toast. But try to keep in mind that low attacks generally don't do a lot of damage, so they are really just a tool to get them the blcok low so they are open to combos which are the big damage in the game.
There is also the 3d evade move, press up or down right when they attack. You will hear a swoosh sound if you did it right. Now quickly combo them. Be beware, half the moves in the game will hit you anyway even if you did it right. So it's a big risk if you don't know the game very well.
Then there are the reversals, but they don't work on any attacks in the weapon stance, throws, or most special moves. So be careful with using these too.
That's the basic gameplay for ya. You also have to consider the timeing and recovery time of all attacks, naturally. But there's enough info in this post if you bother to try and understand it to get you started. Read the high level gameplay thread after you get all of this stuff down. There's so much more.
