I think Nitara weapon apply the most damage, but
kung lao weapon is easier to play with.

I think Kung Laos sword and Sonyas sticks r the best, but my favortie are the sais, but they r horrile in Mk:Da

Mavados Hookswords are pretty good and cause some damage.
Johny cages Nunchucks are good too the worst tho is drahmins club.

MY favorite weapon is KITANAS STEEL FANS!!! I love them, but they are not that powerful in the game. Its her best style, but still kind a weak.

The best are:

Mavados

Sonyas Kali! (I hated them so much but when I finally played with them I was shocked!)

Cages weapon was awesome.

Raydens staff was deadly.

Personally, I LOVE Shang Tsung's straight sword. His 11-hit multi-style combo is fun for the whole family. ;)

Reptile
Sonya

The characters with the weapons I hated:
Movado
Drahmin
Sub-Zero (hard to admit cuz Sub-Zero is my fav. char, but the weapon was just horrible)

I think Raiden's stick and Hsu Haos's Sun Moon are really good weapons. Li Mei's sai is really weak

What!!!!!!????????!!!!!!!!! I didnt know the stance that contained a 70% damage combo guaranteed after the first hit was considered the worst!
