I play this game once in a while, cuz i like the version. I have never had trouble with babalities, fatalities, and friendships before, but it's probably because I use a 6 button controller. With that, you are all set. It's not difficult finding one.

Ok, I never had MK2 on a home console (MK1 and 2 on Amiga for me!) but I have a Sega 'Tips Bible' that came free w/ Sega magazine like 10 years ago. Here's what it says for 'Friendships and Babalities' for the Sega Mega Drive version of MK2:

"To perform either of these you must NOT press either of the punch buttons during the winning round of the match. Friendships and Babalities can be performed from anywhere on the screen."

And for Sub Zero's fatalities:

Freeze and Smash fatality:
1st part: (at 'Scorpion distance' which is the distance you are from you opponent when Scorp performs his Toasty fatality)
F,F,D,HK

2nd part (close)
F,D,F,F,HP


Snowball Fatality:

Hold LP, then press B,B,D,F, release LP
