duck from sweep distance and uppercut or just run and combo, the CPU never blocks the whole combos in mk3
In the beginning of the round duck and block. If he does his Upwards Shadow Charge, uppercut him. Then run in and do the combo. You can also venture to uppercut him again while he tries to hit you after getting up, but the timing is crucial in this case. However, you'll get another chance for easy run in if the uppercut connects.
And if you're using Stryker, then it's even easier for you, 'cause Kahn's projectiles won't reach you even if you hold block while ducking. Therefore you can just wait for him to do his USC and uppercut him easily. Then use the run in strategy.

Sonya Strategy
The Bicycle Kick is your best friend along with Sonya's main HP combo. Use the basic strategy just bicycle kick Kahn when he's recovering and square wave punch him when hes in the air. Basic strategy + good timing and aerial kicks. Don't use the Leg Grab it won't work.

I found it easiest to just duck, but don't block. If you block and he does a ground attack you won't be able to attack quickly afterwards.
If you just duck and don't block, then you can usually run in and combo after many of his ground hits.

Yea, but if you don't block, there's a chance you'll get hit by his ground Shadow Charge. But to each their own. I release the block when he does his hammer attack or kick in close distance for example, then I can perform a combo or an uppercut.

If you don't block his ground shadow charge you can run in and combo him afterwards. If you do block it, you stumble back to far to run in and combo, and still take a bunch of chip damage anyway, Especially if you are using stryker, you should go for the combos and not worry about blocking because you can get infs on Kahn with Stryker.
