Yeah i think so and you'll have to agree with mecuz otherweayz you r just a hater. Is Reptile character in MK 1 ?
Were Noob,Smoke and Jade characters in MK 2 ?
Was Noob character in MK 3?
Smoke Noob and Jade becamed "real" characters by your meanings IN UMK 3 cuz they were given bios.Again Noob hadnt story in mk 4.
I think i understand why all of you dont consider Chameleon as character. Its just because he has no bio. That is pathetic.I mean you can consider Meat as not a real character cuz he even has no real name (he is in the konquest modew of mk6) , but not and Chameleon.

Would you think of Mokap as a real character then? He had a small scrap of storyline (irrelevant, but more than Cahmeleon or Meat has) and does appear in MKD's Konquest.
Chameleon, Meat and Mokap and the UMK3/MKT "Classic" Sub Zero are almost certainly not real characters in the MK timeline. OK, two of them appear in Konquest, but we already know that a lot of Konquest is non canon anyway, why should that mean anything?
Chameleon only appears as an extra in the PS1 version of MKT, listed as one of Kahn's goons. As there has been nothing else to back up his existence, he's either not an official part of the MK world, or too irrelevant to think about. Needless to say, he was only added to whore out the male ninja sprite some more.
Meat had no story at all, and was basically an extra outfit for each character. He/she/it/whatever appearing in Konquest is, imo, not enough to justify Meat being anything real.
Mokap, as we all know, was added as a joke, a last minute extra. This, plus the fact that he has no relevance to what is going on (he's just kinda there, as an old friend of Johnny Cage) in either his intro or ending, mean that unlike Blaze, his inclusion is meaningless, so he's not really there.
"Classic" Sub Zero (not the man who became Noob, but someone completely different) is most likely only there to whore out the ninja sprite one more time. His tiny scrap of story is meanigless, and he has never been referred to since. He either doesn't exist, orhe was a small time character who went nowhere.
Reptile, Jade, Smoke, Ermac and Noob all started off as non real characters (with the possible exception of Smoke, who is seen in Tobias's MK2 comic) when they were first introduced. Ermac's existence was based on a glitch, and even in UMK3, he had no story. They were all developed, and given worthwhile storylines to fit them in later on in the series. Until this happens to Chameleon, etc, it's best to think of them as non existing extras.

well, in personal oppinion, a character is a character, story or not, i mean, hell, in the arcades u culdnt play as shao khan or any of the other "big cast" but they were still considered as characters (a boss still is ya know). scraps of story or none at all, the story doesnt make the character in the end, do we not agree?
I agree that it's ridiculous to say Chameleon is not a real character. Same with Classic Sub-Zero or Mokap.
There is a tendency in the MK story community for the fans to take it up for themselves to determine what is or isn't "canon". Usually this is to either explain away or apologize for and excuse Midway's poor writing. Like Chameleon isn't underveloped and a lazy design....he's just "non-canon"...yeah..that's it....
Chameleon has a bit of story. It's a sentence but as stupid as that is it's there and there's nothing contradicting it.
The whole idea that multiple sources need to mention it before it's canon is silly too. Who decides what counts as official sources? Us fans? The reveal that Noob is Sub-Zero was only mentioned in Noob-Smoke's MKD ending yet it was almost universally accepted as being true by the fans. How is this any different? Because it's in an ending? But all the info about Classic Sub-Zero is from his ending yet that doesn't stop people from saying he is non-canon. Is it because Chameleon's story is like one sentence long? Since when is there like a minimum requirement for how many words the story must be told before it's canon? It's not our role as fans to decide this stuff. All we can go by is what Midway says and the only thing Midway has ever said is that he is one of Kahn's deadliest warriors. Even if nobody actually fought him and that hidden fight with him didn't happen it would still be true as far as we know, just like Noob is really Sub-Zero even though Noob probably did not win MKD.
Basically, if Midway wanted these characters to be non canon they wouldn't have given them any story at all. Even if it's very little to go by or retarded it's still Midway's word and what they wanted in their game. Like it or not.
I honestly think the main reason most consider them not real is simply because they don't like them. Quite frankley they're lame. It's easier to just ignore them then to admit the MK story has such poorly written characters like Chameleon or a dropped cliffhanger like Classic Sub-Zero's ending.
Meat is a bit different since he has no story at all. His name "Meat" is not just some fan made thing though. It was coined by Ed Boon on his webpage in a preview for Revision 3 of MK4 arcade. Even though it's not in his lifebar or ever said in the actual MK4 game it was the name they gave him.
Oh and sort of a different topic but I HATE how everyone says Human Smoke in MKT is noncanon. This is misuse of the phrase non canon. He has a story and it does follow the true events. It's just saying that he is a robot now and can't be human again but that is true. He isn't actually fighting in human form in the events of MK3 but it doesn't say that he is and the character endings do not match the gameplay battles anyway. That goes for any character. You can have MK II Jax kill Sonya in the gameplay and then get his ending where he has metal arms and him and Sonya form the Outworld Investigation Agency. If anything Human Smoke is somewhat of an alternate costume.
