N64 only: Khameleon: In attract mode press: Low Kick, High Kick, Low Punch, High Punch, Run, High Kick, Low Kick, if you heard Shao Kahn saying "Khameleon" after entering the code, then you did it right.
Let me know if this works. I also found some info to fight against khamelion, but I don't have 64 and can't check it. When fighting on the mk1 pit, press down+start if the head pops out of the corner to say "toasty". Another way is through kombat kodes. 606-606 takes u to the mk1 pit. Or 123-321- winner fights Khamelion.

Also know that female Khameleon actually had a story/bio for her, and had her own suit which was silver. To me, Khameleon was kooler than Chameleon (who was the guy) because of these reasons. Male Chameleon just was transparent and changed colors. I believe that the female came first, and the male was added to differentiate the two versions, (other than the fact that Ps1 version had every character playable), and was also added so fans wouldn't complain about N64 getting one and not ps1. P.S. For anyone who would like to see "Khameleon" in MK2, just play as Kitana and fight Kitana. It isn't really Khameleon, but the second Kitana will have a silver suit like Khameleon does. This is something I noticed one day and thought was interesting.

culd we say that chameleon (male) was just the meaning of the whole "palette swap" thing? he had no story, was no own character, just made up with no true identity, despite that he is more ninjas, khameleon has some sense of meaning.

It's a game, not a deep philosophical mystery to be analyzed.
