im sorry if im just ignant, but i have sat here for like 4 hours in practice tryin to go these dam branch combos at speeds yet unkown to man. i have tried all possible ways to do em. its not my controller cuz some do werk! dammmmm, some1 please heed my call! wat am i to do!!? im about to start usin crack in like half an hour!
No, some of them are very hard. I know on some, I am constantly pressing L1 and the style doesn't change. It all takes practice. Have you done the Konquests? They teach you how to do them. I suggest you start with Kung Lao and Quan Chi's style branch combos, starting only with two braches, then going to the full three, as even though I've only done four Konquests, I am able to pull them off quite easily.
Li Mei and Sonya seem to have the hardest to pull off.

The Konquest mode is, to practise "better" kombos. In Konquest you don't learn all, what you can do. Believe me, there are more then 25% Juggles!

I remember when I started I hardly even did any branch combos, they gave me so much trouble. But now I can't even see why they were so hard for me.
Play as Sonya and Sub-Zero at first. They have easy combos. And they are strong characters too.

Just keep practicing. Luckily I had no problems doing them even at first. But they become second nature after awhile

It's all in the timing of them.
You need to know how many hits a button press does (like in the case of sonya's, the first style branch is actually 3 hits even though you only press the button once) and know how quickly the hits connect to press the next buttons. Kung Lao's is pretty easy actually...one of the easiest style branches to get right. Just time the hits... 1, 1, 1 CS, 4, 4, CS. Make sure each hit connects before trying to go to the next, but don't wait too long. You don't need to do it at an inhuman speed, you just need to be steady and get the rhythm right. Also remember that the CS in ALL style branch combos actually constitutes as a hit in the combo, it's not just an arbitrary style change. So, make sure the CS hit connects before trying the hits that follow it.

Man, in Konquest, I picked Raiden as my character, there were only like 4 more characters to do after I picked Raiden, so anyway, I picked Raiden and when I started the Style Branch combo's I got to his last SB combo (the longest one also) and I sat there for over an hour trying to pull that thing off, I just couldn't do it. I felt like slamming my controller against the wall. THEN I FINALLY got it. I was so relieved. Then I wasn't relieved anymore when I moved to Raiden's last mission and sat there for about 30 minutes trying to win 3 out of 5 battles against myself. It was hard. Raiden was the person I had the most trouble with in Konquest. Everyone else was pretty easy.
And Sonya and Li Mei's Style Branch combo's were actually pretty easy t pull off.

Raiden's big style branch isn't that hard actually. It's made a bit easier because each style change is well telegraphed...what I mean is that there is a definite visual difference so you know what style you are in. The first two styles contain the same number of hits, then just finish it off with his staff combo. Pretty easy.

Well, What was mostly hard about Raiden's long branch combo was everytime I pressed L1 the style didn't change... And when I finally get it to change, I press the wrong button afterwards.

If that's happening you're trying to change styles too early.
