I think I read somewhere in some book that Raiden disintigrated Kintaro after Kintaro supposedlly killed Johnny Cage. Has anyone else heard of any of these rumors? I think I saw them in one of the many magazine like books sold based on certain MKII characters.

It was written in a magazine or strategy guide but never confirmed to be canon.
The games never say what happened to Kintaro.

The exact bio it was used in, was Motaro's very rarely used/seen MK3 bio. I think it was in a strategy guide (dunno if it was one of the bios shown when u leave the game alone for a while, i never waited that long!), and explained how Raiden vaporised Kintaro on a bridge, maybe the Pit 2?

Possibly correct about Kintaro not killing Johnny Cage. Yet what was the reason for Raiden defying the rules, and vaporizing Kintaro? There must have been a reason, and I thought since Cage was killed before MK3 that maybe Kintaro killed Cage against the rules, and this enraged Raiden enough to break the rules himself. I'll check into the Motaro bio. I have the MK3 stragety guide, and PS1 game too.

Did it say that it was against the rules? Maybe Rayden challanged Kintaro and won, simple as that?

i read it on the profile booklet that came with the MKDOTR DVD, bt the show wasn't cannon. Or good. Too childish.

raiden did vaporize kintaro. it is cannon. besides cage was killed by an extermanation squad right before mk3. so he survived mk2.

It didn't say anything on MK3 for Playstation, or the arcade. I'm still looking for the old MK3 stragety guide. I'll try to find it, and get a definite post on the story.

Ok here is the final word, I have every strategy guide and none of them says anything about Kintaro being vaporized by Raiden, that bio was in the CD ROM program "The Ultimate Guide to Mortal Kombat CD ROM" this was made by threshold, which had ties to the movie, so that was NOT CANON. The game storyline never mentions Kintaro.

Also it is not clear who kills Johnny Cage but its my personal opinion that Johnny Cage was killed by Motaro's extermination squad if not by Motaro himself.

Yeah, Cage was killed by an extermination squad. If it was any specific character it is far more likely to be Motaro than Kintaro.
