I love the old MK games where the characters looked real with real faces and skin textures...but I also love the great graphics of Deadly Alliance and Deception. I think the best thing that can happen to MK if they kept the characters 3d but digitized the faces and skin so they look real. The backgrounds would also be digitized to look real aswell. If they did this for part 7, it would easily be the best MK ever becouse fans of the old series and new series would love it!
Well, if you look at Resident Evil remakes, and I know you guys are probably sick as hell of hearing me say it, but their games look almost REAL and they are 3-D. That means that is IS possible to make a REAL looking game in 3-d, not cartoony. So I think it's a neat idea, but I'd still like to see a new MK in 2-D. Of course, since PS2 etc. got bigger resolutions, imagine the picture quality, as well as maybe double frame rate to that of PSX.

The reason I thought of this is becouse of the Resident Evil series. All they do is take photo's and superimpose 3D items in them, that's why they look so real. I once saw a video of making a game and they were able to take real photos of people and place them on 3D images. They did the same with skin textures. I just wish that MK went back to looking real, with real backgrounds but stayed 3D.
But Ed Boon did mention on an interview that he did want two different lines of MK. One 3D and the other 2D.
Just as long as the textures aren't like Konami makes, their textures are too... I can't esplain it, but if you play Silent Hill 2 or Soccer Eleven 7, you'll see what I mean, people look almost real, but they look kind of... Almost dirty... I don't like it... The way Capcom did it was brillian though.

It is actually one of the few things that Capcom has been getting right lattely.
