Do you feel the recent adaptation of MK characters (male) are too muscular?

. Anyways what are your opinions?
Maybe this in a way has been asked before but I haven't posted a thread in ages so I decided to do this. I apologize if this has indeed been asked.
Thanks everyone.

Altough I love their looks, i kinda agree with you.
Several males have too muscular structures and it seems, that even Liu Kang who has a typically lesser musclular mass (tough he's pretty muscular and thin in MK1-2) is a bodybuilder.
Scorpions looks actually makes sense: since everytime he dies, he has to rebuild himself from the resources his soul can gather in the netherrealms hell. So he can evolve his muscular mass while keeping his sped and agility.
Sub-Zero could also be muscular, but I prefer a thinner version of him, since he's getting older and older.
Johhny Cage looked like Schvarzenegger in MKDA. but his visuals, as all characters visuals are good. The only characters, who weren't muscular in the new MK's are Bo' Rai Cho (he's phat) and Shujinko.
Gods sakes, please remember the MK1 ninjas muscularity and make them again more human-like.

Well in previous MKs they was not too muscular because they are real people
Now MK dont use digitalization anymore, just motion capture and they put the texture that they want.
I only dont like the models from MK4. The other games are good.

I would agree. But as long as the woman characters stay sleak who care how big the muscles get on the male characters.
Hmmmmmmmmmm....interesting. It is true that MK is not really....planned to be realistic but I do feel the characters body proportions should be (in my opinon) evened out and more in-tune with there stories. I know that in previous MK's they were digital actors but I feel that the way there bodys were proportioned were great. I think it should be more realistic in that sense for the next mortal kombat.
Take care.
Take care.

The Mk4 arcade and MKgold models were actully quite good.
But like someone said above, for me, I don't really care about how huge the men are as long as the women stay sleak. Hopefully when Sonya returns we'll see a more Kerri Hoskins look.

yeah, I would rather have them be more sleek, slim, and faster. However, LK, Meelina, and Noob-Smoke seem to be one of the very few that seem to be built right.

Hmmmmm I half agree and half disagree. I think there are a good few male charcters who look appropriate. (But Johnny Cage was waaaaaay bulkier than he should have been in MK:DA.)
The females generally look good too, with exception of Sonya. She just looks toooo bulky. From her look in MK3 and MK4 to the bulk she had in MK:DA was too much.

I don't like the way Sub-Zero looks in MK5 (mortal kombat: deadly alliance)
He looks too bulky, also Shang Tsung also looks a tad on the bulky side.
Other than those two, I don't have a problem with their differed look from MK4 or MK3
