do you think that MKD is going to be a hit
So far i think that deception is probably going to be four out of five stars. I havent really played the last one but, this one looks to be a hit for years to come. The graphics, mini games, and not to mention the classic characters. The fighting system might take me a lil while to get used to because i havent played the last one, I never had time to. What do you think about this game and howlong did it take you go get used to the new fighting system in the last one?

You should put this in gerneral or MK:D discussion not the classic MK game discussion

ya I think it will
I hate the combat style.... (it's so close range and little damage) but i'll still enjoy it

You know if your a die hard mortal kombat fan like me you need to have faith no matter what you have to believe its going to be a hit...when people rant about it being crappy thats like saying are you even a fan at all...i think its going to kick ass every body will at least have 2 fatalilities...(AT LEAST) meaning some might have 3 maybe...which would rock!

Well, comparing to what new one looks like, the last one sucked, and if THAT sold 1,000,000 copies, then then this one's GOTTA be a hit.

My impression is like this..
So far, the graphics and backgrounds don't appear to be as sharp or polished as MK:DA. However, there seems to be more detail and definition to the characters this time. And maybe even, a little more realistic looking?
The game plays considerably faster than MK:DA, which may either be a good or a bad thing (depending on your personal taste).
There are multiple fatalities per. character again. I know the hardcore MK fans wanted this so badly on the last one, but fatalities really have never been ''all that important to me,'' it's the graphics and gameplay that I personally care most about. But this will surely please the disappointed fans from the last one.
There will be a lot more to do than just fight in MK:D. Konquest Mode and Puzzle Mode alone will generate thousands of buyers alone if the games are actually ''good.'' Add that with an interesting Chess Mode, and you have a winner.
MK:D will be online, and this is the biggest addition to the MK franchise. Just the sheer idea of being able to play against everyday strangers again like the old days of MK in the arcade, will definitely bring back some nostalgia for the old school MK heads, and this will help catapult it into MEGA-STATUS!
Also, there should be ton's of secrets in this game as well. And personally, that is where MK:DA really failed for me. I loved the graphics and the gameplay, but the lack of secret content pissed me off. And MK:D should have a number of them, can I get an ''Amen?'' Thank you.
Add all this up and you have an instant winner. As long as the fighting game remains solid, and the mini-games are at least relatively fun, this game should out-sell MK:DA at least two or three times over.
