Ermac UMK3 Fatality 2
Hey... new here.
Does anyone have any tips for the UMK3 (arcade version) ermac fatality? It should be down-up-down-down-down block. It's the only one that I really can't get. I kind of hate any with up in them in general, but usually blocking does the trick. However, it might be an issue because block is actually a part of the move as well.
I don't think it's the distance, youtube videos show it has a decent range of possible spots. For a second I thought maybe it isn't in this revision at all, but the shao kahn treasures video shows it.
Heh, looks like I'm not the only one having a hard time: a FAQ writer as well. (Though, for the genesis version) http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/genesis/file/563352/2872
Thanks!

Hehe, neat trick.
I would if I could, but I've just got the arcade cabinet. I assume I'm going to need to do it without blocking, just jumping and trying to time it right in the air.
Of all the videos online of the move being done, they're all obviously using a one button cheat to do it, since he's not blocking, ducking, jumping, etc.

Well, tried both out in MK trilogy and got them first try. So either I suck with the joysticks (Just got new red Happ Competition sticks too), or they improved the detection routine later on.
I think I'm having a conversation with myself. Just in case anyone wants to see it, it was an MK1 machine that I put UMK3 in, so it didn't have quite enough buttons. I made start the run button, and ghettoly rigged up some "new" start buttons. Temporary solution. :P

And here is it before I put in the new board and fixed some things up.
