This may be a glitch, but I was wandering if this has ever happened to anyone else. I was playing UMK3 on the Saturn, and I was Ermac. On the Novice level, I got to the Endurence match, and Ermac was my opponent. At Finish Him, he stood about sweeping distance, and did his fighting stance, and the Friendship music started playing. It then said "Ermac Wins, Friendship." This also works on anyone else I fight against him with. He does it every time too. Has this happened with anyone else? Does anyone think he has a Friendship?

Ermac's Friendship, to my knowledge, is in the Saturn version and the N64/PSX versions. But before that there was no way for a human player to do it, but the computer could and all he would do is that win pose. This is because his friend was not finished in those versions.

Here's some screens of his Friend:

In UMK3 Genesis, he had his Friendship, but only the computer could do it. It was the same thing as Scorpion, but for the Trilogy versions, they changed it to him making the opponent into a rabbit, and then changed it again in MK Advance, in which he does the jack-in-the-box, and a computer comes out (the last one I haven't seen for myself, I've only read it in FAQs about the game).

Which are you refering to? The jack-in-the-box skull, the computer, or the one in the pictures?

in the UMK3 arcade not all of the comeback characters had two fatalities, an animality, or a frienship. They were added to the home consoles. Like Ermac didnt have a friendship, or an animality. And Classic Sub Zero only had one fatality.

The one in the picture, I think. What about a computer?

that ermac friendship didnt show up til trilogy, even tho it was suppose to be in the umk3 versions. and as for finishing moves its true that most didnt have them all. like classic sub for example. in umk3 the only fatality he had was him poking out the eyes. in trilogy they gave him a second fatality. he uppercuts his opponent then makes an ice stick thingy and the opponent falls on it.

In the CD versions of MKT Classic Sub-Zero is STILL unfinished, he doesn't have an Animality. Interestingly he is the ONLY non-boss, non-classic character to not have a full set of finishers.

I wonder why they didn't just give him unmasked Sub-Zero's polar bear(like they did on N64)?

Question about the N64 version (I have played it but not much as I only own the PSX version):
Didn't Classic Sub have all the moves of MK2 and MK3 Sub? Was there an unmasked Sub in the game? I don't know if I read that or am just mistaken. I would love to see a complete Trilogy that has all finished moves and the specials of both versions. Also the four classic characters were not finished.

Yeah, Classic Sub in MKT for N64 has both MK2/MK3 sub moves. Ran outta memory/time like UMK3 on SNES probably.

That is true that not all fighters had a full set of finishing moves. However, I have been told that every single UMK3 fighter did have a Babality, and a Pit Fatality. Weather or not it is true, I don't know for Classic Sub-Zero is the only one I cannot find a Babality for. I have found Noob Saibot finally, and I am still looking for if he exists, Rain. Noob so far as I have found only has one special move in UMK3, and that is the Teleport Slam like in all the home versions.

As Konqrr said, he does indeed have all the Sub moves. As for finishers, he just has the regular Classic Sub-Zero stuff. Censored head rip, Jack in the Box friendship, ect. except the Animality where he uses the polar bear.

The unmasked one is not in at all though.

Strangely this uber Sub-Zero has the opening story for ummasked(about the robots chasing him) yet has the ending for Classic(about him taking off his mask). Makes no sense.
As far as I have ever heard Noob has no finishing moves at all in UMK3 arcade. Since he was only in the limited released Wavenet version it's possible he has some that were never discovered though. IIRC in the 16 bit ports he only has a brutality, pit and babality.

You are right. When I turned on the one-button fatality cheat, I tried to use it for Noob, and all he would do is his win pose. But he does have a babality. It's F,F,F,LP.

I'm talking about Arcade UMK3 Noob. As far as I know he has no finishing moves at all, not even a Babality.

I've never seen the wavenet UMK3 arcade, what was the difference? Noob was playable? Was he on the select screen?

Besides Noob and the network play there is no other difference as far as I know.

He isn't on the selection screen. You have to pick Kano then do a code and he turns into Noob, like the Human Smoke cheat.

You get ninja Noob. His only move is the teleport slam.

The code is Back + HP + LP + BL + LK.

I've read about Wavenet UMK3 from many different places over the years. Noob being in it was not a big secret. Do a google groups search from like 1996 if you want to see people talking about it.

No, I have never played a Wavenet UMK3. They didn't make it past testing in Chicago.

But it does work. It is real. It's confirmed by many sources and was commonly known back in the day, it's not some rumor or uber secret. I have seen and heard from many people who all report the same things(the code, his moves, ect).
