Yeah the only way one will ever happen at EVO is if someone makes a side tourney in casual play. That's what fierceslash is doing with SNK games. And SF peeps are holding a side tourney for Alpha 3 I believe. But I doubt you'll ever see an MK game in the actual EVO event.

Even if every UMK3 player on the planet got together in one place, it would have to just be the "UMK3 World Championship" with no other actual tournament games going on in order to be recognized as an actual tournament for the game.

However, if 4 guys brought a DreamCast and MvC2 to the tournament and played on the side, the results would be posted on shoryuken.com's main page the next day.

It's true. I don't know why they HATE MK so much. I hope it's not because of the rivalry of MK vs SF. That would be beyond gay. They just really hate it for some reason. And it's not because MK has terrible games. UMK3 can stand up to a lot of good 2d fighters. Besides that, there are a lot worse fighters out there.

I personally feel UMK3 is too difficult for a lot of gamers, and the rest never gave it a chance. It's a shame UMK3 as is couldn't have come out instead of MK3, things would have been different.

Have Mortal Kombat 0X for home users that want flashy fatalities and gameplay cluttered with stupid gimmicks and Mortal Kombat NT (Network Tournament vers) that is totally geared towards high level in person or network tournament play.

I think that MK3/UMK3 are underrated. It's my favorite game to play with other people. I was playing a guy named MK2 Prince yesterday, and it was very fun. I wish there was some UMK3 tournaments where I live.

I think he means, actually do something with the engine besides keep it the exact same as MKDA. There's not going to be any changes, at least that's what I've heard. All the old styles will have all the stupid crap about them that made MKDA bad gameplay wise.

It can't be that they think the engine is so good there's no need to change it, because after playing the game for a couple hours I felt robbed of 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. There were so many things that just shouldn't have existed, and lack of testing/good testers made that possible.

Overall, the game looks neat, and the new one looks about as neat, but it's just the same old thing. I can't force myself to learn a game that no one's going to play, I already know how to play UMK3 and enjoy it so I see no reason in stopping playing that.
