I was reading about MK1.0 ete. Reptile comes in 3., and gives hints in 4.0.
It seems Goro early on was nearly hard to beat. A Uppercut could not even floor Goro, and almost impossible to knockdown. I was thinking, do you guys think they could have keep this version of Goro in the later versions?? Goro is not relly a hard boss when compare to Motaro or Kintaro. But he would have been up there if he was nearly impossible to knockdown, and could cut off the screen, and hard to beat.

That is a good point. I know how hard the Mortal Kombat bosses have been made to be, some people say they were too hard. Too hard is bad, because people get pissed at the game...but I keep trying, lol.

Are you thinking that they nerfed him at some point? I have never heard much about this, but I guess it would be possible. I don't really see what Midway would have to gain by making him easier, though, especially since Shang Tsung was such a creampuff.

If you didn't mind being cheap (in the Genesis version, at least), you could pretty easily score a flawless with nothing but flipping kicks.
I don't know if that clears up whether or not he was nerfed in later versions, but I would say he was. If you couldn't knock him down, that would be horrific for weak gamers.

bah...
i don't agree at all!
In MAME MK1 verion i defeat Goro using Raiden move BBF repeatly.
I had two flawless in Normal difficulty.
You ca easily defeat Shao kahn using low fireball with Liu Kang or teleport stomp with Sheeva.
In MK3 yu can also jump back to the edge of the stage and waiting that Kahn try to hit you with Shoulder block and use D+HP repeatly.
I find hard only Motaro and Kintaro.Goro in MK4 and Moloch in MKDA are pathetic, instead Onaga is quite hard to beat.
