i heard somewhere that Boon himself did most of the screams and grunts in the early MK games....any truth to this? thanks

Yup, he did. It says so in the credits. In MK4 there's one really interesting sound effect, Ed just babbles on incoheriently for about 3 or 4 seconds really fast and it never made it's way into the final game, but the .wav file is still in the MK4 PC files. I'll see if I can find it and upload it at some point.

Wow. You wouldn't think by looking at Ed that he could create groans and gruts like that.
Ed's almost as good as the people from South Park are.
