Belive it or not their sega exclusive games.
Thats why umk3 on the snes has rain and noob in there cause it was a different verison or umk3,and umk3 was only supposed to be for the sega saturn system. And MKGOLD believe it or not was only ment to be for the dreamcast and thats why you wont see that on mat either.I am not lying either,go look it up for yourselfs. For the most part,we might only see mk4 on another mat and thats not bad though imo.

Ha ha?

I know that UMK 3 was exclusive to Sega Saturn when it came out but I thought SEGA had a window that it would be on their system first, for a certain period of time.

We'll see those games again someday.
What's that have to do with anything? They belong to MIdway, they can put them into a Midway Arcade Treasures game if they want.

Even if they had an exclusive contract, I'm pretty sure it ran out years ago.

Sega had exclusive rights to have UMK3 on > 32 bit consoles, preventing it from being released for PSX or N64. It'd be crazy if that still applied today for the modern consoles

MKGold wouldn't be on MAT anyway because it wasn't an arcade game.

Ermm... Saturn had more memory (with the memory expansion pack), so I'm guessing it was easier to make a direct port for UMK3. Thats likely one of the reasons they went directly to MKT for the other systems.

Anyways, there are Dreamcast based games such as Rush 2048 which do appear on MAT3 I believe.

The main memory for the PS2 (not sure about the xbox, but i'll take a while guess and say xbox as well) can't fit UMK3 in memory. They'd need to pretty much do a port using the source code.. IMO it would be easier if they ported it rather than emulated it anyways...

If you are waiting on UMK3/MK4 to come out on a MAT, it will likely be for the xbox360/ps3.

And Sega had exclusive rights to UMK3 on >=32 bit systems so the others didn't actually have a choice.

The San Francisco Rush 2049 Arcade game is included on MAT3.

UMK3 is bigger then the amount of system RAM the PS2 has. But, so is Primal Rage, which was included on MAT2, so they obviously have ways around that.

XBox has twice the RAM of PS2, and that is easily expanded as well. Gamecube also has more RAM.

MK4 is smaller then UMK3 or Primal Rage, but I kind of doubt that ever happening for PS2/XBox since it didn't seem like they got the 2D MKs really perfect and MK4 would have much higher system requirements.

What about Deadly Alliance,Deception,Shaolin Monks and Armageddon ?
Do you think they will ever come out on PC as Midway Console Treasures ?

No I seriously doubt we will see MKDA/D/or sm on the pc ever. And midway console treasure wtf lol thats funny.Their not old enough to be on disks like that anyway BUT NO. Also what I was talking about with MKGOLD was simple the fact that if you play MAT3 then you know that Hydro Thunder on there is the DC port and not arcade. So what I was getting at was,if they wanted to use MKGOLD as the better verison of MK4 they couldnt.

I think it will happen,Midway cant miss the chance of some extra money.
But it will be a lot lot of time ..by then all the games will be fully playable on emulators ,like it is with mame now playing perfect arcade mk games.

That's correct about MAT3. For some games they just ported over the Dreamcast versions. I think one of the other Rush games on there was a direct arcade emulation, but San Fransisco Rush 2049 was the dreamcast version. Dreamcast version is actually way better than the arcade, so I'm glad they did it that way (although I'm guessing they only did it that way because it would be much harder to emulate the arcade ROM on current gen).

It's similar to the Capcom Classics Collection, which I believe uses the Super Nintendo version of Ghouls N' Ghosts whereas everything else is emulated from the arcade.

So since they've already kind of renegged on the "Arcade" part of MAT, I suppose MK Gold (or even MKT by similar logic) could be feasible.

Oh and btw the "Sega exclusive" argument is completely bogus. grin That's like saying they can't release Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting because it's a Super Nintendo exlclusive and Genesis had to have "special champion edition." Even if there was some sort of exclusivity that applied a decade later... sega doesn't have a console! So they have no claim to anything either way.

you guys are missing the point of midway arcade treasures. There arcade games ported to the gamecube , playstaion 2 , xbox. That has nothing to do with sega ported games.
