Hardest Mk.......
Hardest Mk.......

I thought MK3 and /MKT was hard... the boss battles actually- Motaro and Shao Kahn (MKT). I remember being frustrated while fumbling with the controls. Damn, it was so hard.

Ultimate MK3 is a lot harder IMO. The AI is defensive, and wait for your attack standing all time. If you move forward the opponent going backwards. Jump and they stop your attack. Also, there is that endurance round.
As for MK Trilogy, since the game have the same AI of UMK3 it is difficult as well. Specially Motaro and Kahn that have new moves like throws.

I was hoping you guys wouldnt say that..I just bought MKT and it hasnt shipped yet. I cant even beat the 1st guy on MK2 on the Shaolin Monks game. So am I gonna have a hard time with MKT?

Im gonna say UMK3, MK3, and the end of MKSM were hard. UMK3 though was so damn hard. I remember when I was playin it and one time I got my ass kicked by Jade (lol).

not necessarily...play on easy for awhile, and if you're getting your ass kicked by Motaro and Shao Kahn, enable the Bosses Have Normal Damage option in the hidden menu in the options. That way you may stand a better chance of beating them...Before I used Kung Lao in UMK3 and MKT, I would use Sub-Zero, and would just freeze and combo over and over. Problem was after awhile, my opponent would catch wind of this, and just block everything...that's why up until Motaro, I can beat Shao Kahn with him, I use Kung Lao. Just practice his Spin, JK Infinite, and you'll do alot better...assuming you're playing on easy like my pussy ass

The computer always cheats and the computer always sucks.
For a first time around in MKT play as Human Smoke, when they are just standing there, jump away and kick. If they throw a projectile, teleport, spear and do lk, d+lp, d+hp to pop them up (the combo should break after the lk if you just do it like a normal combo) then jump kick, teleport punch, spear and pop them up again.
When you fight Motauro take every opportunity to run in and combo him, he will take it.
When you fight Shao Kahn duck and don't block, if he shoulder tackles you run in and combo him (if you block you stumble back farther and can't run in and combo afterwards).

Probably MK3 or MKT.
MKT isn't really that hard. Some opponents are hard and can be ridiculous like when you try to jump towards the opponent they are always able to hit you down. But overall if you put the game on easy and choose the novice ladder it shouldn't be too hard.

I think MKII was the hardest.
They are similar, dificult wise, but it all depends on how you like to push buttons. I'm used to pushing directional buttons then a normal button (HK, Run, etc). So then for MKII would probably be the hardest because some of the fatalities required you to hold this button... then press that button, and press this one, then let go of that one... and aim the hat a little higher..... DANGIT, there's no Kung Lao emoticon.

Does help to hold block while you do the fatality, on MKT and MK2?
Some fatalitys you practicly need to hold block, usualy ones that require you to press up, but that would make you jump. Let our example be UP, UP, HP. The easiest way around this is to hold block during the UP, UP, part. Some other way to escape this is to: press UP, UP right as you land from a previus jump (or just jam up, it will work the same), then before your guy jumps again then press HP...

MK1:(mega drive) Easy as pie. Shang is much easier than Goro, though both are easy as bosses. As for the Arcade, I imagine it's much harder.
MK2: Hard and annoying AI that cheats its way to victory. The AI is easy to exploit though, so it depends on whether you know the patterns to their attack and defense routines. Kintaro is incredibly hard unless you use the delayed jump kick glitch, rendering him helpless. Same goes for Kahn. The spear of Scorpion is also extremely effective against Kintaro.
MK3: The best difficulty of all: not too hard, not too difficult and all round fair. No auto throws and stupid AI special rules like in MK2; this is why I choose this game over MKT/Umk3. Strangely, Motaro is much harder than in UMK3/MKT, because the uppercut routine doesn't work. Kahn is a lot easier than in MKT/Umk3 and can be frozen by Sub-Zero. Unfortunately my copy of PS1 MK3 no longer works.
UMK3/MKT: The first two enemies are easy, but quickly as you progress, the AI will take many continues to beat (unless you don't suck like me)
Eventually, the AI runs at you and executes combos and attacks at speeds far greater then my reactions and will be able to counter any attack, regardless of what it is. The only way I can win the entire ladder without losing a continue is to use Noob, who is broken to hell beyond all other characters. Kintaro has even easier wins, but he's a boss.
Motaro is pathetic and can be beaten by crouch uppercuts alone. Kahn is stupidly hard and I've only beaten him with Noob.
Mk4: ?
MKDA: Challenging, if annoying AI. Only recently got this game for a really cheap price, so I haven't played Arcade more than once. I got beat by Moloch three times and then gave up.
MKD: Short Arcade ladder with similar AI to DA. Onaga is not so hard, but hard and annoying enough to make me quit the match before it starts, because I hate him so much.

I think Onaga is too annoying/tough. Some people here say he's too easy but I just don't see that. Usually I have a lot of fun until I get to him and go back to the main menu before the match even starts, or a little after he beats the crap out of me.

MK2
Definitely.

As far as the CPU goes, I'd have to say MK2. The CPU loves to throw you all the time. As for hardest to play, I'd say the MK3 games maybe, I don't like having to run up and be real close to do dial-combos, or maybe MK4 since I haven't played it that much, therefore I wouldn't be used to it.

definally mk advance! try it and beat it!

id have to say MK2 is the hardest fo all the classic games.
In MK2, Shao kahn, Kintaro, Shang Tsung and the three or four before him (especially if theyre Liu Kang, Kitana, Mileena or Baraka) are difficult. Though you can exploit the computer patterns.
MK3/UMK3/MKT was pretty easy right till Shao Kahn. Thats really where I had problems before I got decent at those games. Motaro was quite easy IMO as were the characters leading upto him.
