yeah your right. there a mess up in the MK storyline :.\ I never noticed that :.\, but the sub-zero in MK4 is the younger brother of the 1st sub-zero from the 1st MK game since you could take his mask off and see that is the sub-zero from MK2 to present. The only possible reason I can think of for scorpion trying to kill Sub-zero in MK4 was when the younger sub-zero put on the outfit that is younger brother wore from MK1, scorpion could have thought that the sub-zero that he killed could have come back the same way he did, and he went to destory him or torcher him or what ever dead people do to other dead people. Instead of revealing his true idenity the younger sub-zero pretends to act as his older brother and trys to prove that his bro didn't kill his clan and family and quan chi comes in and you know the rest. Also note after UMK3 with 2 sub-zeros scorpion could have been dumbfounded. and the classic sub-zero disappeared after UMK3, he finds a person with a same unform as the older sub-zero. Funny that doesn't explain scorpion in UMK3 seeing that the younger bro had a scare and the other didnt XD

yeah, i didnt think this, but um, i dont know, because here are the things that says its true, in mk1 scorpion kills sub-zero and his soul goes to the netherrealm, in mk:te in sareena's ending it says and quete "since she had freed his brother from his confines of the netherrealm so many years ago", so this leaves the possibility that around when shinnok got out sareena found a way to get him out, and in the mk4 booklet at sub-zero's bio it says "the ice warrior once again dons the familiar costume once by his brother the original sub-zero" now, i dont know, but his outfit in four for some reason reminds me of the one the youngest wore in two, and it makes since it was worn once, cuz it was only in one game he was in it, but the original sub-zero part, thats a little hazy, who knows, perhaps john tobias and ed boon planned it like this to play with our minds or just got high, i dont know

first off, scorpion was never sent to the netherealm for disobaying kahn, and it never mentioned it in the games story either.

scorpions mk2 ending and mk3 ending never happened. the only one that did was his mk4 ending...only a few endings in ever game take place. and in some of those endings...only parts of them

mkm: both scorpion and sub-zero was sent out on the same mission(by quan chi): to steal the sacred map of elements. sub-zero killed scorpion in cold blood.
keeping his part of the deal with the lin kuei, quan chi eliminated the shirai ryu along with scorpions wife and child. scorpion was granted the chance to return and avenge his death.

mk1: scorpion gained his revenge when he killed the orginal sub-zero...the sub-zero that murdered him in the events of mkm.

mk2: sub-zero was replaced by his younger brother and was sent to assassinate shang tsung...scorpion had retuned as well after learning of sub-zeros return. as it turned out, it wasnt the same sub-zero the killed scorpion, but his younger brother.

mk3: now, although the mk2 and mk3 endings connect, they never actually took place. according to scorpions mk2 ending he bacame the guardian of the younger sub-zero..hin mk3 ending says that scorpion turned on kahn when kahn was going to eliminate the chosen warriors..one of them being sub-zero. quote:

"his alliance to shao kahn falters when he discovers one of the chosen warriors to be sub-zero. scorpion has vowed to protect the former ninja as restitution for killing his brother. shao kahn finds himself the victim of his own scheme as scorpion is forced to turn aginst him. he destroys the emperor and the earth is returned to normal."

we all know scorpion didnt kill kahn, so the ending doesnt count. neither did scorpions mk2 ending. the events in both mk2 and mk3 never happend....which brings us to mk4

mk4: after the evnts of mk1 (yes, mk4 came way after mk1, but the actual ending doesnt take place until mk4) scorpion defeats sub-zero. sub-zero tells scorpion that the lin kuei was responsible for his murder, but that his familys true killer still remained free. when scorpion asked who the murderer was, thats when quan chi showed up. quan chi needed the power of a spectre or defeat sub-zero. (it was all just one big plot) quan chi attempted to send scorpion back to the netherealm..scorpion rushed at quan chi..grabbing him..and both were sent to the netherealm...then that leads to the events in mkda.

mkda: scorpions bio:

"The ninja spectre Scorpion had assumed for many years that Sub-Zero had killed his family and clan only to later discover that the true murderer was the sorcerer Quan Chi. After revealing his treachery, Quan Chi then attempted to send Scorpion to the 5th plane of the Netherealm. Thinking quickly, Scorpion grappled the sorcerer at the last moment and they were both transported to that forbidden realm. Scorpion hunted Quan Chi relentlessly throughout the Netherealm. Eventually, though, Quan Chi discovered a way back to Outworld through a strange portal. Scorpion followed Quan Chi through the portal, but emerged in a different location far from his prey. He can still sense Quan Chi's presence and will hunt him down whatever the cost."

so, what happens from here? we dont know....and wont know until mk6.

sareena helped sub-zero escape the netherealm during the events of mkm. when sub was there, he wasnt there cause he was dead. raiden sent sub-zero to the netherealm to get shinnoks amulet. sub-zero would eventually get to quan chi. during the fight sareena showed up and helped him defeat quan chi cause she wanted to escape the netherealm.

some people get really confused about mkm and mk4..... thousands of years before mkm even took place, shinnok was banished to the netherealm for his crimes aginst the elder gods.
and raiden buried his amulet, and built a large temple around it. and he placed 4 elemental guards within the temple.

then, in mkm, sub-zero is sent on a mission to get the sacred map of elements..which shows the enterence to the temple where the amulet is located. sub-zero was then sent to defeat the elements that guarded the amulet. sub-zero was chosen by quan chi bacause he had mastered the element of cold...quan chi couldnt enter the temple until they had been defeated....and when that happened, quan chi was able to get shinnoks amulet.

raiden then sent sub-zero to the netherealm to get the amulet back. after sareena helped sub-zero defeat quan chi, shinnok appeared. a beam of light shot into sareena and she fell into sub-zeros arms. sub-zero eventually got the amulet from shinnok..(or did he?). he returned to earthrealm and gave the amulet to raiden. raiden destroyed the amulet..or so he thought.



as it turned out, the amulet raiden had destroyed was a fake. quan chi had made a duplicate of it. he retained the orginal and he and shinnok escaped the netherealm...and that unfolds in mk4...and while shinnok thought he had the amulet, it turns out that his was a fake also...
to quote quan chis ending:

"i am in posession of your once sacred amulet. years ago i deleivered to you an exact duplicate, while i retained the orginal. i even fooled raiden"

he destroyed shinnok and kept the amulet.
he later confronted scorpion, who had just defated sub-zero, and confessed to the murder of scorpions clan and family....and as you know, scorpion grappled quan chi and both ended up in the netherealm..which leads to the events in mkda.

the mk storyline has a way of confusing people. when when you look at it, it reall not all that confusing.
