One of my best friend,i know hime since childhood,has a problem with Mk Trilogy for PC.
After he install the game and start to play,he choose a character and...on the desktop is shown a message of unknown error.
He tried to use XP Fix patch but on all descriptions is written that he have to double click on it and install.
We found that patch and we copy in the right place(AppPatch) .
The MK Trilogy patch looks like a system file,why i can't install it?
I try to update my friend's XP but also this is just a failure.
Can yo help me?

Yes, I have a same problem too.

Actualy, when I run the game, everything is ok, until i select a character. Game crashes and that's it. is there any solution?

For orca:a lot of people tell me that the XP patch is just a big fake because ,ad i just said,even tough i put on C/Windows/AppPatch and i double click on it did not happens nothing.
How i can start the setup installation for the patch?
AND WHY IN THE HELL NOONE,EXCEPT SOME PEOPLE,ANSWER TO MY THREADS?

This comes up so often that I hardly respond to these any more. The patches that are out there work if all directions are followed accurately. For more details check this thread out:

The problem is another!
I put the xp fix but it's not recognized!I double click on ti but did not open the file!I try also on Microsft help page,but nada...
I read about all that Crow has said but i don't understand nothing,why all the problems explained aren't my problem:how i can install the XP patch?
I put it on AppPatch directory,i put also the videocard fiz but nothing happens!
In fact after i chooose one fighter the application is closed!
However no matter for me,now i play Trilogy with N64 emulator!

Are you using a USB game controller? For some reason, my MKT wouldn't work unless I disconnected my USB gamepad. Try disconnecting any extraneous USB devices and then see if MKT works.

I try without joypad but the problem persist.
