Hey, iv pretty much mastered umk3 i can do almost every huge combo and finshing move no problem.Theres a couple things that i cant do and is bugging the hell out of me and it isnt a combo. I cant do kung lao spinning shield which it is F, DF, D, DF, F, RUN no matter how many times i try i cant do it i dont if theres a trick to make it easier i cant do sindels air fire ball eaither which is B, DB, D, DF, F, LK.I tried pressing these all certain ways like pressing f then df together no matter what i do i cant do it.Is there a easier way to do these.

Sindel's air fireball is only D, DF+LK. As to Kung Lao's spin, can't tell you anything except practice.

Do you have trouble with other similar moves? Like Ermac's telekenetic slam?

Try pressing the diredtional buttons seperatly.
F then D then F run.

I know it's a bit clumsy and slow, but i have to do that sometimes on MKT when i have trouble with it (the sole move in that game i can only pull off about %70 of the time i try it, but i'm convinced it's the poor D-pad on the N64).

the moves are taps, it's F, D, F, R for the spin, sp there is no such thing as a DF being registered or DB in MK, there's D+F and D+B(defensive crouch which prevents being thrown). Sindel's Air Fireball can be done by pretty much by hitting D+F LK. Teleport port punches can also be done like this. You're still hitting D,F, but for Sindel specifically, it helps to do the near simultaneous D+F LK so you can connect the fireball in air off a combo that uses say a two HP juggle JK after her autocombo.

I finally did it its so hard to do at least for me.I tried just tapping f,d,f,r and it wouldnt do anything. So i just slide my finger f and d, f real fast like 3 or times then press run and finally i did it.What a hassle though.Im using the mame version and i have a gamepad i didnt think it would be so hard.MK2KungBroken i dont know how the heck you pull that infinite combo with lao the spinning shield air kick one thats amazing man.

I honestly think you must have a horrible controller. It mustn't be registering well with Mame at all for that move to be so difficult. I have found sometimes my keyboard does not like to do that move but that usually is tied in with how laggy everything is on mame on my comp.

Try it a few times with the keyboard, I believe it is far superior to any controller I've seen.

This is a hard combo to pull off, but it requires practice. I can get it off most of the time now.

The corner spin infinite is probably the easiest infinite in the game and requires the least timing, with the biggest window for error.

Go into your options for the game by right clicking it in the list, and click the controllers tab. Enable direct input for both the Keyboard and the gamepad if you don't.

In later Mames there's a steadkey support option that always makes controls sticky for some reason when I think it's supposed to do the opposite.
