As far as we can only guess, and from the few screen shots we've seen, they are going to be arcade perfect.

I'm definitely excited about this. Primal Rage is also a nice game on there that I haven't played in ages.

I'm really excited but I wish they included UMK3 in it as well.

(As usual, I'm gonna sound like a dumbass)

So we're getting the arcade versions?
It sounds crazy, but I've NEVER seen or played an arcade version of MK before!

How much better are they than home versions?

Well, let's see here.

I'd say..

The arcade version of the original Mortal Kombat was about 10 times better than the Genesis or Sega CD version.

The arcade version of MK2 was about 3 times better than the SNES version.

The arcade version of MK3 was about 2 times better than the Playstation version.

Keep in mind that the arcade MK's were the definitive versions of the game, meaning that these were the actual games that Ed Boon and Co. created and programmed. So they are perfect in that respect. And every home version of each MK that came out, was done by other developers and programmers on systems that weren't extremely powerful.

Think of it like this. Picture in your mind that the arcade version of MK2 is say.. the original Mona Lisa painting. Now imagine a random team of artists hired to try and paint the Mona Lisa as close as they can to the original using only the few paints that are available to them.

Even though they may come up with a painting that is very close to the original, it will never be as beautiful and perfect as the original, because the original is the definitive picture - it's the picture that everyone is copying.
