This has been bothering me for at least 10 years now! Once, long ago, I was looking at a gaming magazine [I think it was EGM] and saw like 3 screen shots of a hidden Lui Kang fatality that someone found accidentally. The pics showed two dragons in a dark area facing eachother. I don't really know how to explain it in anymore detail, but the pics showed something never seen in MKII before. It seemed like it may have mentioned a 'glitch', but this didn't look like any glitch to me. It looked like some kind of secret fatality or something. I have searched page-by-page through every gaming magazine I own and can't find the screen shots, so I can only assume that I saw it in someone else's magazine. I would LOVE to see these screen shots again to relieve my mind, but have searched all over the internet to find nothing. I'm sure the magazine was out before the internet meaning hat someone would have to be a huge MK fan to break out the old ass gaming mag and scan the page of it. I only hope these screenshots are out there somewhere, and this place seems like the most reliable source to find out. Thanks.

Could it have been that trick like uppercutting the person on Fatality after being beaten? Perhaps the person did the D F B B HK as they landed and so did the other Liu Kang and they both went into Fatality?

When the game came out, there was a rumor that Liu had anopther dragon fatality where he turned into a red dragon. With the passage of time, no evidence has surfaced that this was ever true and I think the same can be said about the image. It it is interesting nonetheless. wink

The only other thing I could think of is the Game Gear version of the fatality had him morph into a dragon and spit fire.

Yeah! I've also heard of the Red Dragon Fatality, a UK gaming mag called CVG, told U how to perform it, however it did not have any screen shots of it. I tried many times to perform it, but could never pull it off. I then came to the conclusion that it was FAKE, maybe the mag U saw it in, was a April fools joke, cos game mags in the UK, tend to do things like this.

I too remember the column in the EGM magazine with the pictures of the two dragons. It was in the issue following the issue that revealed the elusive Fergality to everyone. Supposedlly everyone had another finishing move when the "Ooh Nasty!" was selected in the hidden menu options on the Sega platforms. Howevere, when further investigation later revealed that the Feraglity was the only one, and the double dragon picutre was a very clever faked pic.

The MAME info file mentions a Red Dragon fatality for the 4.3 hack of MKII. No info on how it is supposedly performed however.
Liu Kang's red dragon fatality is in a hack version of MKII that has a few other extras as well. Cage doing his red shadow kick every time ,Kang's red dragon ,the hack was also faster ,I can't remember all of the stuff. I think it was called MKII Challenger edition.

According to that MAME file, there's also a "Bones in the hat" fatality for Kung Lao. But its true existence is as much a mystery as Kang's elusive Red Dragon.

Okay guys pay attention, here is the secert death move list from CvG, to me it's a pile of crap, but u guys might have better luck? doubt it, haha.

Liu Kang/D,D,T,D,T,D,B+HP

Kung Lao/B,B,F,F,D,D,HK+Blk+LK

Kung Lao/Hold Blk,U,U,LK+HK

Kung Lao/Hold Blk,U,U,U,U,LP+HP

Cage/D,D,D,T,T,D,T,HP

Kitana/F,F,F,B,B,B,LK

Theres more, but I couldn't be bothered, It never mentioned where U had to stand in any of them, so it's just a matter of trial and error. Good Luck!

Well as difficult as they seem, i can believe when you say it might be a pile of crap, but then again, they all are somewhat similar, meaning they could have been added during the hacking process.

But i cant get em to work. But thank you for taking your time. smile

DAMN!! I am sooo glad SOMEONE else has seen it and remembers it. When I saw all these 'red dragon' post I was losing all hope. THANK GOD! I still wish I knew which issue that was. I would LOVE to see it again. This was wayy long ago and wayyy before I had any experience with faking pics etc.. I would love to check it out. I could have SWORE I owned that issue but I went thru every single one of my gaming mags just to find that ONE thing and never found it. I'm pretty sure it was EGM that had the April Fools joke about Sonic and Knuckles being in SSBM. Those crazy bastards :) THANKS MANG!!!!

I'd be interested in seeing it, although finding info about something in EGM could actually make that info less credible then if you just heard it on the net randomly.

heh I remember a few years ago when PSM did an April Fools thing....they faked a pic of Akuma from SF being in Resident Evil 2....they said to unlock him you had to complete the game in under 2 hours, using only the knife as a weapon and using no health items at all....

They had to make it believable but also impossible to actually achieve....I dunno how many people believed it (I did but never tried it)
