Who do you use and what is your style of play with them? Are you an attacker, defender or a mix of both or something else?

Nice thread Tgrant! : )
I hate it when people say they only use this style or that style cause its better then the other. I also hate when people tend to play only to win and forget about the fun there is on playing.
When I play as a character, I use all of his/her styles, mix them up, attack, defend and everything there is to do. I find it fun to play with the 3 styles and not just focus on the one that is stronger.
But I would say I'm an attacker most of all. I like to do the first hits or trick the player.

I'd consider my self a 'Technical-Attacker'. I have a MK:DA Bible(more like loose pieces of paper with a huge binder clip holding them together) of pop-ups that flow into other styles.
Shang for me is fun to do this with cause his straight sword style is so versitile. It can work well in attacking from long range to keep an opponent at bay, then I may switch to crane when I choose to close in. However, I like to try to employ aggressive high and low strike attacks when I close in and back away to wait for a brief moment to allow for an opening to start a pop-up in crane style. U+4 his a vital resouce for Shang cause I can either counter or sidestep the next logical response from an opponent then take advantage. Smothering an opponent with an all out burst of unfocused attacks really doesn't show any skill, but constantly picking and prodding at my opponent from entirely "long range" or "long range-coming in" allows me to control where my opponent moves throughout the arena. Predictable patterns tend to appear in some players when they're either forced or mistakenly happen into specific areas of the arena.
I know some people don't like waging war with their opponents in the middle of the arena and I would agree. If you're gameplay is pushing him/her back in the direction of a barrier then that would be their strategy as well. If an opponent is so comitted to making such an aggressive first action, then I'll let them so they can position themselves in a spot that they're more defensive at and that's where their responses can suddenly shut down if I constantly hold them at bay there. Simply put, using one's own force of motion against him/her while never totaly being directly in its path.

I consider myself an all-rounder, poised to the offensive. With my best characters I tend to be very offensive and I always try to play mind games, letting my opponent guess what I'm going to do. I enjoy taking initiative in a match.

For me, how I play depends on who I pick or the mood I'm in.
Sometimes I'll go on an all out offense attack or defend and counter. I'll wait for the enemy to make a mistake and punish them for it.
When I play offensively, I attack hign and low mixing the attacks up and using several jab moves and combos. I go for the juggle most of the time. If I have a character who has a reversal, i'll use that sometimes to catch anyone who tries to retaliate.
