How would you guys like to see certain characters interact with each other in MK? I mean MK:SM isn't a very good idea, but I'm sure we can get some ideas based on their personalities.
Liu Kang and Kung Lao: Best friends. I disagree with the MK Team in that Liu Kang is the "older brother" of the two. I think it should be Kung Lao who fills that role. Kind of like how starting out Kung Lao is a teacher to Liu Kang and eventually the two become more or less partners. The two would eventually get along quite well and work together. If you've ever played the Mega Man X games then I see it like Liu Kang is like X and Kung Lao is like Zero.
Liu Kang and Johnny Cage: I see Liu Kang finding Johnny Cage rather amusing, but probably would get a little irritated with him at times. (Who wouldn't?) Johnny Cage would make jokes about Liu Kang's crush on Kitana. (Something I felt was out of character for Kung Lao to do in MK:SM.) But he would respect him.
Kung Lao and Johnny Cage: I see Kung Lao being very irriated at times with Johnny Cage's attitude although he might not confront him about it. I think the two would learn to get along eventually, but there still would be annoyances like I can't see Kung Lao standing Johnny Cage's attitude at first, but eventually he'd learn to tolerate and accept it.
Liu Kang and Kitana: Well... uh... I shouldn't need to explain that they'd be very attracted to each other, even though I don't see either of them fully admitting it.
Johnny Cage and Sonya: I could see them arguing like an old married couple at times...
Jax and Sonya: Well the two are partners, but I'm clueless as to how they would react...
Johnny Cage and Jax: Military hardass meets cocky immature movie star. Oh man this will be fun.
Liu Kang and Shao Kahn: I see this as resembling the Link and Ganon relationship in the Legend of Zelda series minus the bond by Triforce thing. Liu Kang and Shao Kahn both hate each other's guts. Though Shao Kahn might exchange some conversations and look forward to being challenged by who he might consider his equal. Heck, you can even have Kitana fill the place of Zelda in all this. (Once again minus the Triforce bond thing)
Raiden and Liu Kang: Kind of like a mentor/student bond. Liu Kang admires and respects Raiden a whole lot, in fact if Raiden ever trains the Earthrealm Warriors (which he might've done in MK3) Liu Kang would probably be the hardest working with Kung Lao not far behind.
Raiden and Kung Lao: I could see Kung Lao confiding in Raiden like Liu Kang does and maybe Raiden was the only one who knew that Kung Lao didn't die after MK3, but Kung Lao asked him not to tell anyone.
Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung: Neither would like each other very much, but Shao Kahn needs a sorcerer so he keeps him around, in my MK2 fic I have exchanges like this:
Shang Tsung: Should I send the Tarkata to take care of Kang?
Shao Kahn: Oh no, Shang Tsung. Let him come, I wish to face him myself.
Shang Tsung: *under his breath* Your stupidity will ruin everything, you ugly piece of...
Shao Kahn: WHAT was that Shang Tsung?
Shang Tsung: I said the (Sindel's) resurrection will take a little more time to prepare Master!
That's all I can think of at the time...

Excellent thread!
Shaolin Monks had terrible dialogue, horrible interactivity between characters, so Im not even going to bother to use that as an example (even though Johnny Cage was actually hilarious and the best in that game, 100% natural)
***Sonya and Johnny Cage***
Just imagine the Mk movie, they had the best quotes in that film. I can picture Johnny Cage as the dumb romantic male that wants to impress the female, but she is way too tough and cold to give in anytime soon. They would have childish fights and Cage will really get hurt from time to time (physically only, because he knows she likes him).
***Rayden and Jax+Sonya***
The cartoon of Mk (defenders of the realm) was hilarious when these 3 were in dialogue! Everyone respected and obeyed the god without questioning his decisions, everyone but Sonya and Jax who kept calling him âsparkyâ? and arguing about his âlazinessâ? and âleaving us to do the real workâ?, lol, I loved that.
***Kitana and Liu Kang***
Well, this is normal romance. Nothing really wow nor funny about it. Just a man and woman in love who practically agree in everything.
***Kung Lao and Liu Kang***
I actually liked the way Kung Lao was portrayed in MKSM, as a jealous kid. Well, I can see these 2 arguing constantly with their decisions but being âtogetherâ? in the end and defeating whatever evil they face, despite their different thoughts and opinions. They would obviously have respect for one another, but you can feel the cold ice from time to time.
***Kitana and Sonya***
I really liked the way the 2 are portrayed in the cartoon. Kitana might seem arrogant and mean to Sonya, but she isnât, she is just used to the war, something Sonya still isnât used to despite all the battles, so she cant see how much Sonya needs a girl to talk to. They are the 2 only good females in the group, so when they are together, they do girlish stuff, talk girl stuff, they are no longer among the males, they are girls. They are close friends.
***Johnny Cage and Liu Kang***
For some reason, I think Liu Kang is much closer to Johnny Cage then to Kung Lao. I can picture them both laughing and joking all the time, Johnny Cage being the clown that never irritates Liu Kang.
***Jax and Johnny Cage***
Oh this would be cool. Jax would obviously be jealous of Johnny Cage because of his constant flirting and feelings for Sonya. Jax could like Sonya as more then just a friend, but I rather if he just considered her his best friend, so he is too overprotective with her and doesnât accept Cage as the future Mr. Blade (she would never take the mans last name, she is too stubborn).
***Sonya and Jax***
Best friends till death. They will rarely argue or fight. They are too close, Jax protects Sonya and she protects him.
Excellent thread once again.

Well, I agree with a lot of what's been said, but I'll add my own 2 cents anyway. Good thread, btw.
Liu Kang - Kung Lao: I agree with what PNF said. I think Kung Lao is more of the older brother type character. I really hated the way they were with each other in MKSM. I do think that in early MK2 timeline wise, Kung Lao wouldn't like Liu Kang quite that much, seeing him as young and naive or whatever, but the two eventually become like brothers, sort of like a Mario and Luigi thing I guess..
Liu Kang - Kitana: I think of their romance as an unspoken love that's tragic in that it can never be due to Liu Kang's role as Earthrealm's Champion of Mortal Kombat while Kitana has her duties as Princess of Edenia. I think that tragic essence brings about a more interesting plot.
Liu Kang - Raiden: Like PNF said, I too think that Liu Kang views Raiden as a teacher and mentor and all that.
Liu Kang - Johnny Cage: I basically agree with what PNF said.
Liu Kang - Sonya and Jax: I think he respects them as good, honorable warriors who help fight against evil. I don't think there's anything else that I can really point out here.
Liu Kang - Sub-Zero: I think Liu Kang respects Sub-Zero and has trust him in him more so than maybe some of the other heroes like Sonya.
Liu Kang - Shang Tsung: I guess the relationship can sort of be like that of Superman and Lex Luthor, but I don't know. What I can say for sure is that Liu Kang despises Shang Tsung's evil ways and I guess he's basically like Liu Kang's arch nemesis so that's probably why I said their relationship is kind of like that of Superman and Lex Luthor.
Liu Kang - Shao Kahn: I think this is probably even more intense than the rivalry between Liu Kang and Shang Tsung. I think of the Liu Kang/Shao Kahn rivalry like that of the one between Superman and Darkseid with Liu Kang almost feeling to the point that he hates Shao Kahn and might even kill him.
Next, I'll be doing the ones for Kung Lao.

To me, the only canon things would be the storyline.
I think that the characters' personalities should be left up to us.
Therefore.....the main heroes that have been though pretty much every game together without missing one.
Johnny Cage and Liu Kang
The same as you guys actually. Cage will constantly tell Liu Kang to "loosen up" and not be so serious and make jokes and just be a dumbass....and despite himself, Liu Kang is amused and genuinely likes him. He's a break from all the seriousness in his world.
Johnny Cage and Raiden
Cage regards Raiden as just the master, respects him and all......but Raiden thinks of Cage as a buffoon. Basically, in the end he likes him like he does all of them cause he recognizes his good spirit, but really - he just wishes he wasn't such a dumbass. Think Splinter and Michaelangelo's relationship.
Johnny Cage and Sonya
He constantly flirts with her (though I believe he genuinely loves her) and tries to be all macho, but Sonya rebuffs his advances....but deep down she is attraced to him. He comes close, she'll push him away cold - she thinks he can never be serious. But, there will be times when she recognizes who he really is. Think Casey Jones and April's relationship in the first TMNT movie, or Han and Leia in A New Hope.
Liu Kang and Raiden
Master - student. Nuff said. Raiden cares for him, teaches him, Liu Kang returns the love. They're all serious and talk posh.
Liu Kang and Sonya
Comrades. Very good comrades. They admire eachother's qualities.
Liu Kang and Kung Lao
Ryu - Ken like relationship. They ARE the Ryu and Ken of MK. They're friends and yet rivals - each of them wishing they could have something the other has. But that's just how their relationship starts. It evolves through MK2 and MK3 and they become the best of friends. They're like brothers.
Kung Lao and Sonya
Pretty much the same as Liu Kang and Sonya. Very good comrades, they admire those fighter qualities.
Kung Lao and Johnny Cage
Kung Lao thinks he's an idiot. I honestly don't think Kung Lao likes Cage at all. Seriously. They only fight together cause they're both from Earthrealm. Cage probably thinks Kung Lao's too serious, and is all "Sheesh" to him.
Raiden and Sonya
Sonya, I think, questions him alot, talks back the most. She's the "bratty student", I think. Raiden regards her as a good fighter, but personally thinks Sonya shouldn't be so cynical.
Johnny Cage and Jax
Jax is probably a jokester like Cage.....just a little bit. He is more serious than Cage. So, once in a while, he will laugh at something Cage says....but I can see him also putting Cage down (in humorous ways) like telling him his movies suck. I think Jax would think Cage's movies suck. Cage would probably relate to Jax the most out of anybody.
Jax and Raiden
Regards him as the master. Raiden admires Jax's qualities. Nuff said. Out of everyone, though, Jax is probably freaked out by Raiden.
Jax and Sonya
TRUE comrades. No love (because Jax likes Gemini and Sonya likes Cage), just a strong friendship. They're homies. They're always there for eachother.
Jax and Liu Kang
The same as Sonya's relationship with Liu Kang.
Jax and Kung Lao
They're on rather good terms - having known eachother for a while judging from Shaolin Monks. They're old friends.
Sub-Zero and Liu Kang
They relate to eachother - on a deep level. Both have had some pretty bad tragedies in their lives. They're not close.....they just understand eachother a bit better than others. I'm sure they have alot of respect.
Sub-Zero and Kung Lao
I can see them as being kind of bitter at eachother. They both have the same mentality, just different ways of doing things. I can see them arguing alot.....especially since Kung Lao sliced his face.
Sub-Zero and Raiden
Sub-Zero respects Raiden and likewise I'm sure. I think Raiden is proud of Sub-Zero for making something of himself, unlike his bro, and considers him a great guy and of course Sub-Zero knows all about Raiden, so he respects him.
Sub-Zero and Sonya
Sonya I can see as being freaked out by him, but at the same time regarding him as an ally. But he's still freaky to her. Sub-Zero simply regards Sonya as a good ally.
Sub-Zero and Jax
The same relationship that Raiden and Cage have. Sub-Zero regards Jax as a good guy and ally, but Jax thinks Sub needs to relax a little....and also considers him a freak.
Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage
Sub-Zero thinks he's a buffoon. Cage thinks he's a freak. They're allies, though.
Kitana and Raiden
Raiden is a legendary god, Kitana kneels before him. Raiden sees her as the princess and recognizes the title. They got a real business-like professional relationship.
Kitana and Johnny Cage
I think Kitana thinks Cage is a buffoon but despite herself she likes him, for what she knows he is deep down - a good hearted person.
Kitana and Liu Kang
A mutual attraction. Liu Kang loves her, she loves him. But they both won't admit to it. They're too much on business and obligations. But they do love eachother. It's just neither will admit it. They listen to their minds and not their hearts, haha.
Kitana and Sonya
Not sure, really. I think Kitana admires Sonya for that spirit she's got, and Sonya probably respects her a self-sufficient woman, a real go-getter. But I don't think they'd have much in common. Probably just admiration from afar - in a friendly way. But that's it.
Kitana and Kung Lao
Pretty much the same as Raiden and her's relationship. Just allies.
Kitana and Sub-Zero
They both respect eachother as leaders, they both understand the hard tasks that come with leading so I think they'd understand eachother better than others. But they're just good allies. I always thought Kitana sympathized with Sub-Zero's plight - she can relate a little. That's it.
THE VILLAINS - more interesting in my opinion
Reptile and Shang Tsung
Reptile probably dislikes Shang Tsung, and only protects him because it's his job. Likewise, Shang Tsung regards Reptile as an animal and nothing more - the lowest form of life. "We HAVE to work together, but I still don't like you."
Reptile and Mileena
I think they sympathize with eachother. That quote from Shaolin Monks kind of got me to thinking - they may be friends because of their plight. But I think their relationship is alot like a little boy and little girl being friends - they are friends and all, but still disgusted with eachother and argue alot.
Reptile and Baraka
Not alot to say. They don't have much interaction, I don't think. They just know eachother, that's all.
Reptile and Shao Kahn
Reptile is a blind servant to Kahn......completely loyal. *sigh* if only he knew. Shao Kahn is probably also disgusted with Reptile, but knows he's a loyal soldier, so he keeps him around.
Shang Tsung and Mileena
Disgusted with her - thinks she's a psycho bitch. He only created her because of orders. Mileena probably thinks Shang Tsung is too conceited. They don't like eachother.
Shang Tsung and Baraka
Also a relationship of disgust. Tsung thinks Baraka is a low savage like Reptile - Baraka thinks Shang is full of magic - he's good at using hokey magic tricks but wouldn't last a minute in a real fight.
Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn
They hate eachother deep down. Their relationship is alot like a daddy-bitch relationship in prison. The daddy (that would be Shao) will constantly push his authority around to make sure Tsung knows who's boss, and Tsung will roll with the punches but deep down completely resent him - and one day plans to just throw him over. shao Knows though....they're both playing a game. Think Beecher-Schillinger from the first season of Oz.
Mileena and Baraka
I think their relationship is based more on opportunity - an opportunity to feel something (more for Mileena than Baraka, in my opinion - Baraka just gets off on their relationship but also feels something for her - just not as strongly as Mileena. For Mileena, she's feeling something LIKE love, but not love). They are a regular Jekyll & Heidi, a crushing combination. They know how the other thinks and work very well together. However, their relationship is anything but love. In the end, they will try and get rid of eachother if need be. Still, until then.....at least they're feeling something.
Mileena and Shao Kahn
Shao Kahn just uses her as a tool....nothing more. They have an abusive dad-daughter relationship. Mileena longs for Kahn's acceptance, to really be his daughter, but Kahn just kicks her around for his plans.
Baraka and Shao Kahn
Baraka is a loyal servant to Shao Kahn, and Kahn to a degree admires Baraka's violent nature and considers him a top soldier.....but Baraka's not as blind as Reptile is. He will become suspicious and maybe question orders.....maybe attempt a betrayal?
I think that the characters' personalities should be left up to us.
Therefore.....the main heroes that have been though pretty much every game together without missing one.
Johnny Cage and Liu Kang
The same as you guys actually. Cage will constantly tell Liu Kang to "loosen up" and not be so serious and make jokes and just be a dumbass....and despite himself, Liu Kang is amused and genuinely likes him. He's a break from all the seriousness in his world.

Here's some more...
Liu Kang and Sonya: I see them respecting each other. After all, we know they met during MK1, so it might be some kind of big sister/little brother type of thing.
Sonya and Sub-Zero: I see Sonya absolutely loathing Sub-Zero at first. Sub-Zero would not understand Sonya's harsh reaction to him. She would later repeat the same thing with Frost.
Kitana and Sub-Zero: These two have a lot in common. They were both taken from their families by an evil father/stepfather. (OK maybe Sub's father wasn't really evil but still...) They were both trained assassins and probably killed a lot of people. (Though Kitana's time as an assassin was far longer) These two have a lot in common.
Scorpion and Sub-Zero after no longer being enemies: Well Sub-Zero probably feels a little bad for Scorpion and I think forgave him for killing his brother. Scorpion no longer really cares Sub-Zero, but should they team up to stop Noob (and I hope they do) I see Scorpion respecting Sub-Zero.

Ok, here are my ones for Kung Lao:
Kung Lao - Liu Kang: I think that at first, Kung Lao didn't like that Liu Kang's victory in the tournament brought forth the destruction of the Shaolin temples and thus giving him more reason as to why he didn't want to deal with all the drama. However, I think Kung Lao does respect Liu Kang and treat him like a brother.
Kung Lao - Johnny Cage: I don't think Kung Lao is really fond of Johnny Cage's jokey attitude, but I'm sure he knows and respects that Cage is a good guy and a good ally to the forces of Earthrealm.
Kung Lao - Raiden: Um, to me, it's basically the same relationship that Liu Kang has with Raiden.
Kung Lao - Sonya and Jax: I think he respects them as allies and warriors though I doubt he interacts with them much.
Kung Lao - Sub-Zero: More or less the same as with Sonya and Jax...eventually. I think that Kung Lao isn't so trusting of Sub-Zero at first, but eventually becomes a true and valuable ally in his view.
Kung Lao - Kitana: Allies who respect each other and are two of the closest people to Liu Kang
Kung Lao - Bo' Rai Cho: respects him though is probably a bit irked by his nasty habits
Kung Lao - Shang Tsung: He despises him basically, even more so with Shang Tsung killing Liu Kang.
Kung Lao - Shao Kahn: Not much here really except for just a basic dislike towards each other
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kitana - Liu Kang: loves him very much and wishes he had joined her to rule by her side
Kitana - Kung Lao: good allies who trust and respect each other
Kitana - Sonya: admires Sonya's spirit and determination like PsychoFight summed up though they were very different from each other overall
Kitana - Jax: not much interaction at all from what it seems; I think it's just a mutual respect for each other
Kitana - Sub-Zero: I really agree with what PNF said. He summed it up nicely how they relate to each other and have that understanding, a type of understanding that I don't think Liu Kang and Kitana have. Despite the relation between the two, I doubt they interact with each other much, but respect one another nonetheless.
Kitana - Johnny Cage: I don't think she likes his humor much but sees him as a good person and trustworthy ally nonetheless.
Kitana - Raiden: very business-like relationship with mutual respect
Kitana - Bo' Rai Cho: respects him as a teacher though is disgusted by his....unorthodox ways...
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to add a couple more things for Liu Kang, I think Liu Kang pretty much feels/felt the same way Kung Lao does towards Bo' Rai Cho. I think Liu Kang greatly regrets not joining Kitana even though I bet he wanted to deep down. Unfortunately, he's so bogged down being Champion of Mortal Kombat and Earthrealm's main protector that he can't be with her.
Next, I'll be doing Sonya, Jax, and Johnny Cage.

Raiden-Johnny Cage: I see Raiden being a little annoyed with Johnny Cage's attitude, but he would respect him as being a good ally and warrior. Johnny Cage would probably stand in awe of the God of Thunder. Funny if Raiden's jokey and witty attitude had carried over from the movies, these two would've had something in common.
Johnny Cage-Kitana: Kitana would respect him and see that he's an all around good guy, but wouldn't like his comedy. Johnny Cage might try to hit on her a few times, but she'd either ignore him or smack him.
Sonya-Kitana: Well, they probably respect each other, can't think of anymore than that.
Kitana-Jade: Best friends of course. With maybe Jade being the big sister of the two. They are the female version of the Liu Kang/Kung Lao relationship.

Before I get the Sonya, Jax, and Johnny Cage, I'll cover more on Kitana's interactions with other characters.
Kitana - Mileena: hatred towards her but also a feeling of pity
Kitana - Tanya: Kitana probably doesn't understand the reasoning behind's Tanya's motives and I bet she despises her and labels her a traitor to Edenia.
Kitana - Shang Tsung: Someone I feel she never liked or trusted and hates him even more since he killed Liu Kang
Kitana - Rain: I think Kitana sees potential good in Rain and tries to relate to him with their fathers having been killed by Shao Kahn.
Kitana - Jade: I think Kitana sees Jade as more of an actual sister than she does Mileena and to me, Jade is like the person whose shoulder Kitana cries on...well, that kind of relationship anyway. The two have been friends for thousands of years and have been through a lot together so she's also very close to her.
Kitana - Sindel: Kitana loves her mother and is happy to have her mother back
Kitana - Goro: I think like with Raiden, Kitana and Goro have a very professional relationship though I think through their alliance, she eventually even saw him as a friend.
Kitana - Shao Kahn: I think Kitana was extremely faithful to Shao Kahn in a way unlike all of Kahn's minions and I mean in a way that she was willingly loyal to him until she learned those various secrets throughout her years and saw her father in a different way as well as the way she was and eventually changed for the better. She now despises him.
Anyway, moving on to Sonya:
Sonya - Johnny Cage: basically what queve said with the whole married couple type thing; I think they are like Princess Leia and Han Solo in their relationship type
Sonya - Jax: I think Jax is the one Sonya trusts the most other than herself and sees him like a big brother.
Sonya - Liu Kang: I guess she simply respects and trusts him as a fellow ally.
Sonya - Kung Lao: same as with Liu Kang
Sonya - Kitana: I think Sonya respects Kitana but isn't someone she can really relate to all that much
Sonya - Raiden: I guess she is a bit more defiant with him but still trusts him overall.
Sonya - Sub-Zero: I think like in MK: DOTR, Sonya was untrusting of Sub-Zero at first, but eventually grew to trust him more. Even so, I doubt she likes him much at all in general.
Sonya - Frost: Nothing but utter contempt here; I think Sonya sees Frost as an arrogant bitch and that's about it there
Sonya - Kano: even more contempt for Kano than for Frost; there really isn't much else to say there
Sonya - Jarek: obvious dislike for Jarek though maybe she at least sees that Jarek isn't a coward like Kano is
Sonya - Cyrax: views him as a trustworthy ally to the Special Forces
Sonya - Kenshi: I think Sonya would think Kenshi is a bit strange and she may even be a bit suspicious of him
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jax - Sonya: sees her like a little sister that he's very protective of; that's about it
Jax - Johnny Cage: doesn't like him at first and still doesn't like him too much but deals with him nonetheless
Jax - Liu Kang: respects him as a fellow ally
Jax - Kung Lao: same as with Liu Kang
Jax - Kitana: same as with Liu Kang and Kung Lao; I doubt these two interact much at all
Jax - Sub-Zero: I doubt Jax and Sub-Zero interact much at all. I see those two as acquaintences and allies of each other but not friends and not people who say much to each other. I guess Jax may be kind of weirded out a bit with Sub-Zero's abilities and all.
Jax - Raiden: respects him generally. i guess at first, Jax had a very unbelievable type feeling towards Raiden
Jax - Kano: despises him like Sonya does though I think Sonya's hatred towards Kano is far greater
Jax - Cyrax: same as how Sonya views him
Jax - Kenshi: probably the same way like Sonya views him
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Johnny Cage - Liu Kang: probably thinks of him as a goody two-shoes kinda guy but deep down admires and respects him; likes to joke around with him
Johnny Cage - Kung Lao: I don't think he likes him that much; either that or he feels relatively indifferent towards him
Johnny Cage - Kitana: I bet he likes to make jokes that Liu Kang and Kitana being in love and all that stuff, but I'm sure he tries to hit on her...well..at least earlier on when they first meet.
Johnny Cage - Sonya: Han Solo and Princess Leia type relationship as I stated earlier
Johnny Cage - Jax: probably doesn't like him much but is an ally in his view nonetheless
Johnny Cage - Sub-Zero: I don't think Johnny Cage is fond of Sub-Zero at all. I think of them as Flash and Batman with their relationship with Johnny Cage being the jokey guy while Sub-Zero is the very stern and serious guy who can't really tolerate him much at all. I'm sure Johnny Cage likes to try to put in some jokes on Sub-Zero here and there to piss him off or just to get a laugh out of himself.
Johnny Cage - Raiden: I think he respects Raiden overall but likes to joke with him
Johnny Cage - Kano: hates his guts
Well, that's all for now. I'll be doing Raiden's and Sub-Zero's next.
Kitana - Mileena: hatred towards her but also a feeling of pity
Kitana - Tanya: Kitana probably doesn't understand the reasoning behind's Tanya's motives and I bet she despises her and labels her a traitor to Edenia.

^Yeah I agree with most of those. Here's something different:
Rain-Kitana: Though it's hard to say since he was only in one game, he might love Kitana, but as we all know she loves Liu Kang and eventually he'd learn to expect it.
Raiden-Shao Kahn: They are sort like High Father and Darkseid. Mutual hatred for each other... also in MK3, they could've had a battle like Yoda and the Emperor in Star Wars Episode 3. And now there's a bit of a contrast between them.
Mileena-Kitana: We all know it, she hates her guts, she wants to take her place. She wants Kitana's status.
Jade-Tanya: Apparently they are like Kitana and Mileena.
Baraka-Mileena: Mileena may love Baraka, (at least until MK:D) but I don't think Baraka loves her.

Sonya
-------------------
Liu Kang: I can see Liu Kang as kind of impressed by Sonya, he grew up around the Shaolin Monks and the Order of Light so he's probably not used to seeing women in kombat, or at least, wasn't used to seeing women in combat. I imagine the two respect each other and I can see them being close friends, they seem to always try and help each other, like Sonya following Liu into the netherealm to help him.
Kung Lao: Kung Lao I can see being more doubtful of Sonya's abilities, also maybe a little resentful at the beginning, he wanted to compete in the Mortal Kombat tournament but couldn't and she didn't but had to, it was her destiny to be there and not his, however over the years I'd say they closer. The two are probably close as well but not very as Lao witheld information about Kang's death as he and Sonya sparred on the beach of Shang Tsung's Island in the Lost Sea
Johnny Cage: I can see these two arguing like Diane and Tom in Family Guy. For those who don't watch Family Guy, Diane and Tom are newscasters and they are constantly fighting.
Diane Simmons: Tom, I'm getting late word that you're a petty, jealous closet-case.
Tom Tucker: Bit of breaking news, we now go live to Diane being a bitch. Diane.
Tom Tucker: Well Diane, theres something you're gonna have to get used to. Men running away form you.
Diane Simmons: Shut up Tom, you're so far in the closet you're finding Christmas presents!
I can see them flirting and fighting but I don't see them having a proper relationship, how can they with the endless fighting? Sonya has suffered alot of losses in her life, so I can see her having a very hard time letting people get too close to her, however much she might be attracted to Cage
Jax: She's probably over-protective of Jax, after what happened to her team at the first tournament, she lost her previous partner to Kano, she might feel the need to be gaurding him 24-7. However, she may also be attracted to Jax, everyone always sees Cage and Sonya together, mainly because of the first MK movie but in the cartoon series it was obvious the two had feelings for each other they wouldn't admit.
Raiden: Amused, is all I can think of, *Sparky, *Thunderbutt, she probably really respects Raiden but just can't bring herself to show it, the monks have been brought up to worship Raiden for his mystical powers, while Sonya probably pokes fun at him and bes the brat.
Kitana: I loved how they acted together in MKDOTR, Sonya's a woman and being surrounded by men all the time would be difficult, having Kitana would be easier, however I doubt a princess and a lieutenant would have alot in common, they probably just use each other for female company. I also see Sonya misunderstanding Kitana's hard life and thinking of her only as a princess, surrounding by royalty and tiara's where infact she was surrounded by decapitations and a male prostitute of a step-father. She also mightn't trust Kitana that much or be always on her gaurd against her after hearing of her clone that had managed to trick so many of her closest allies.
Kano: Hatred, pure hatred, he killed her partner/fiancé/brother (its never really been said who it was he killed) so she probably sees him as her own personal mission, to tear out his heart with her bare hands. Sonya may be on the side of good but she's only human, she'd wouldn't arrest him, she'd destroy him.
Sub-Zero: Like in MKDOTR, Sonya may have been really suspicous of Sub-Zero after witnessing his brother Noob Saibot in the original tournament. But she probably got over that and so him as an ally, nothing more.

Here go a few more:
***Liu Kang, Johnny Cage AND Sonya***
I know I already mentioned the 3 before but I just wanted to point that these 3 probably have the strongest bond of friendship. They are the main trio, the heroes, true friends till the end, real comrades.
Though they might not be with one another like they are with others (Sonya with Jax and Johnny for example, or Liu Kang with Kung Lao), I think there is something really strong that ties them. They are after all, the Mk Trio.
***Sub-Zero and Liu Kang***
Mutual respect. I see no sort of close friendship, but I can picture Liu Kang accepting Sub-Zero in the group easily. He admires gifted warriors.
***Sub-Zero and Sonya***
I loved the way the cartoon made their relation, like always, she has a hard time trusting people, so she practically loads him because she associates him with the first ninja assassins, later she has to eat her words because she discovers how noble and loyal he is.
***Liu Kang and Sonya***
I think there is a strong bond of friendship between these two. Keith gave some pretty interesting examples. I think Liu Kang admires Sonya and has a huge respect towards the blond, and she sees in him such a pure soul and such loyalty there is simply no way they can ever get into an argument.
.
***Rayden and Liu Kang***
I liked their relation in the FIRST movie, Rayden was sort of like a sarcastic noble hearted teacher, Liu the quiet student. From that point on, its just like any other dad-son relation, nothing really wow about it.
***Rayden and Johnny Cage***
LOL, I cant see Johnny Cage being sarcastic towards the thunder god like Sonya or Jax, I think he will loose his humor with him a bit, he has huge respects towards Rayden, he doesn’t have to be joking around with everyone. Rayden understand Johnny and likes him, he knows he has ego problems but still, he sees the good in him.
***Sub-Zero and Johnny Cage***
For some strange reason I see these 2 as close friends. I don’t know why, I think they could get along very well.
***Kung Lao and Sonya***
Both respect each other, like Keith said, in MKDA he actually opens himself about Lius dead and all, I found that interesting. They aren’t exactly close, just noble comrades.

Cool thread. Here's some of my thoughts:
Liu Kang & Kung Lao
When they first met, I could see them being a little unsure of each other. Kung Lao probably saw him as naive and underestimating what goes with being the Champion of Mortal Kombat. And I think Liu probably resented Kung Lao avoiding becoming Champ. But after fighting alongside one another, they became best friends, like brothers. I also see Kung Lao as the older brother type. Since he has no desire to be the Champion or leader, he just wants to make sure Liu stays on the right path. But I can see Liu deep down wishing Kung Lao would step up a bit more as a leader.
Liu Kang & Kitana
For Kitana, Liu gives her hope. I see him encouraging her never to give up and keep going. And since for most of her life she only knew cutthroats and evil people, seeing someone who's genuinely selfless and heroic is something she likes. For Liu, always the hero, he sees this beautiful and unhappy woman and wants to rescue her. I also think Kitana is one of the things Liu fights for. Aside from the general saving the world thing, I think Kitana in a way inspires Liu to keep fighting.
Liu Kang & Johnny Cage
I think Liu would kind of like Johnny Cage's humor. Since Liu grew up a monk in a very stiff, disciplined life, he'd like seeing someone who doesn't take everything seriously. But also, Liu knows that underneath Cage's ego and jokes there is a truly brave and honorable warrior and I think Liu kind of wishes Cage would show that side of himself more often.
Johnny Cage & Kung Lao
I don't think Kung Lao finds Cage very humorous. And I don't he cares for Cage much at all. However, I don't see Kung Lao being very obvious about it. In general, I see Kung Lao as quiet character who keeps to himself...so he shows his disdain for Cage by simply ignoring him. Like if Cage says something, Kung Lao just won't acknowledge him. Cage I think may be aware Kung Lao doesn't like him....so he continues to antogonize him for a reaction.
Johnny Cage & Kitana
I think Kitana would find Cage's humor and not taking things seriously appealing, since her life is very gloomy. Outside of battle I think she would like Cage as a friend. However, during battles or serious situations, I don't think she appreciates his humor.
Johnny Cage & Sonya Blade
Like everyone has said, I see their relationship being much like Han Solo and Leia. I think in Cage's mind, Sonya is already in love with him...she just won't say it. I also think since Cage is a movie star and probably used to women throwing themselves at him, he likes that Sonya doesn't feint in his presence. Sort of like the idea "you want what you can't have." Sonya's the only one who doesn't buy Cage's act and I think he likes that. Sonya sees him as an arrogant and obnoxious child, but I think like Liu Kang, she can kind of see the nobility in him and that's what she likes. However, he very rarely shows it, so she continues to act put off by him.
Sonya Blade & Jax
Best friends. I see Jax as being sort of an older brother for Sonya, trying to keep her out of trouble. Sonya I see being very protective Jax, since he's one of the few people she let's get close.
Sonya Blade & Scorpion(pre-retcon)
I think Sonya hates Scorpion because of his (seeming)inaction. He appears to only fight for himself and his own goals and doesn't seem to care about anyone else and I think Sonya hates that. Since she's so protective of her friends and loved ones, she'd hate someone who just stands aside while everyone else is fighting for the fate of the world. And Scorpion...doesn't care. He would look at Sonya and be like "Why should I care what you think about me?" which would probably piss Sonya off even more.
As for post-retcon Scorpion....I think Sonya still hates him, but not for any deep reason. She just sees him as a mindless lunatic.
Sonya Blade & Kitana
I think at first they might not have gotten along. I doubt Sonya was very open to a former Shao Kahn assassin joining the group and I don't think Kitana cared for Sonya's attitude. I do think however, they now share an unspoken but mutual respect. Since both have suffered much loss in their lives, but continue to fight and persevere I think they see that in each other and respect one another for it. They're not close friends and probably don't interact much, but I think there is something there.
Kitana & Jade
As previously stated, I think Jade is more a sister to Kitana than Mileena. Since Jade apparently has no family(that we know of) I think she'd be grateful Kitana has accepted her as a surrogate sister. And Kitana I believe appreciates that Jade is a true friend who has stood by her side for so long. As for which is the "older sister" and which is the "younger".....I think they switch .I think there are times when Kitana is the "older sister" and Jade is the "younger" and vice versa.
Kitana & Mileena
Mileena hates Kitana with great and unending passion. She sees Kitana as ungrateful, spoiled, and undeserving of everything that Mileena feels was handed to her on a platter. Kitana I think hates Mileena, because of Mileena's insitence Kahn loved her and I think she's appalled that this clone believes it is her right to have everything that is rightfully Kitana's. But I think deep down, Kitana still feels a bit of pity for her. I think she understands that Mileena was used as a tool for Shao Kahn like she was and deep down hopes someday Mileena will realize that and change. However, I think she is still very aware that Mileena could and would brutally kill her if given the chance.
Kitana & Shao Kahn
Prior to learning the truth about her past, I see Kitana very eager to please her father. Genuinely loyal and loving. However, after learning the truth and everything that's happened afterward, I think she absolutely hates him. I think she now sees him as the source of all her unhappiness. I think Shao Kahn has a love-hate view of Kitana. I think deep down he does(or did) genuinely care about her and see her as his own daughter. Naturally, after she turned on him, he'd hate her and see her as ungrateful. However, at the same time, I think very deep down, Shao Kahn likes that Kitana was the only one to turn. Mileena would do anyhting for him....Reptile always comes crawling back....and so on.....but Kitana turned her back on him and resisted him.
Kitana & Sindel
I think Kitana is forever grateful just to have her mother back. I think Sindel is very protective of Kitana. Aside from a general mother/daughter thinkg, since Sindel's been dead for so long, a lot of what she once knew is gone, so Kitana is all she has left. I also think Sindel is still a little haunted by her suicide and abandonment of Kitana and also being brought back evil and attacking her. Even though I'm sure it's all forgiven and forgotten by Kitana, I think Sindel wants to make up for that.
Sareena & Quan Chi
I see Sareena hating Quan Chi with every ounce of her being. Like Kitana to Shao Kahn, for Sareena he is the single source of all her misery and unhappiness. Made all the worse because it seems no matter what or how hard she tries, she can't beat him or escape him. And I think Quan Chi loves that. I think he likes that Sareena is constantly trying to escape him and loves crushing her spirit every time.
I'll post more later.
Liu Kang & Kung Lao

Interesting post XiahouDun84, but I disagree about Sonya and Scorpion. I don't think there's any interaction there. I'd say they'd be fairly indifferent towards each other.
Scorpion and Noob Saibot- I think once Scorpion learns just how Noob is, he'd be disgusted with what his old enemy has become and would also feel responsible for (indirectly) creating him. Noob might thank Scorpion and convince him to join him.
Scorpion and Quan Chi- Scorpion hates Quan Chi even more than he hated the older Sub-Zero. Quan Chi took away everything that ever mattered and made Scorpion into what he is. Scorpion hates that. He knows what his true mission is now. Quan Chi thinks of Scorpion as a minor annoyance and nothing more. (Except in the Netherrealm, where he was probably immensely afraid of him)
Sub-Zero and Smoke- Best friends, Sub-Zero was probably very upset when Smoke was taken away by Shao Kahn. He probably vowed to rescue him one day...
Liu Kang and Ermac- Ermac probably felt sorry for Liu Kang because of his plight and decided to help. Liu Kang probably respected that Ermac was a warrior out to atone himself.
Liu Kang and Scorpion: Indifferent towards each other. Though if Liu Kang knows why Scorpion's out for revenge, he'd probably pity him a bit.
Kung Lao and Scorpion: Same as Liu Kang and Scorpion.
Noob Saibot and Mileena: I think during MK3 when they were both spies for Shinnok. They would be disgusted of and hate each other. Mileena would hate how Noob's so loyal to Shinnok and Noob would probably be repulsed by Mileena.

Ok, here are Raiden and Sub-Zero:
Raiden - Liu Kang: father/son, teacher/student type relationship. I think Raiden trusts and depends on Liu Kang the most out of all of the Earthrealm warriors, especially since Liu Kang is the Champion of Mortal Kombat.
Raiden - Kung Lao: I see their relationship as somewhat similar to the relationship between Liu Kang and Raiden. I think there's just a mutual respect and trust.
Raiden - Kitana: business type relationship like I stated before; I'm sure Raiden understands Kitana's hard life and all and respects that she's trying to change her ways for the better
Raiden - Sub-Zero: Like someone mentioned, I think Raiden is very proud of Sub-Zero and that he made something good for himself in life unlike the older Sub-Zero. I see their relationship as a business type in a way.
Raiden - Johnny Cage: Isn't really fond of his humor but sees that he's a noble warrior underneath
Raiden - Sonya: Might not like her attitude at times, but knows she's a trustworthy ally
Raiden - Jax: I think in general, just mutual trust and respect; However, I think sort of like in MK Annihilation, Raiden feels that it's kind of silly for Jax to be using those bionic arms.
Raiden - Shang Tsung: despises his evil ways and isn't impressed by his sorcery
Raiden - Shao Kahn: I see them as two sides of the same coin. Raiden obviously despises Shao Kahn's evil ways and that's all that can really be said. I think PNF has a point about them sort of being like High Father and Darkseid.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sub-Zero - Liu Kang: I think there's a mutual respect and trust between the two. i don't really see much of an interaction going on..
Sub-Zero - Kung Lao: pretty much the same as with Liu Kang
Sub-Zero - Johnny Cage: Like I said before, I think their relationship is like that of Batman and Flash in the Justice League. they see each other as allies, but Batman isn't fond of Flash all too much, especially with the humor bits
Sub-Zero - Sonya: I think Sub-Zero has an unspoken respect for Sonya's toughness and spirit, but feels relatively indifferent towards her. Overall, I see Sub-Zero keeping his distance from Sonya, especially more so in the earlier days since I too see Sonya not trusting him.
Sub-Zero - Jax: not much to say here. I doubt they ever really interact at all.
Sub-Zero - Kitana: I think there's a lack of interaction between the two but a great understanding of each other due to their very similar backgrounds
Sub-Zero - Raiden: I think Sub-Zero trusts and respects Raiden and like I said before, has a business type relationship
Sub-Zero - Scorpion: I think early on, Sub-Zero hates Scorpion because he killed his brother, but eventually learning about Scorpion's vendetta and the whole family and clan being killed thing, Sub-Zero feels sorry for him and I guess he feels that Scorpion isn't all that bad
Sub-Zero - Older Sub-Zero: I think Sub-Zero looks up to him like a role model for being a powerful warrior and I think they were close and looked out for each other, especially since they are they only family each other has. Sub-Zero seems to admire how his brother defied Shinnok and Quan Chi and was able to beat 4 gods and various other monsters and even survive in the Netherrealm itself. I think that despite Sub-Zero hating that Scorpion killed the only real family he ever had, he eventually learns and understands Scorpion's reasoning and maybe realizes that his brother isn't all that great. However, I think there's still a lot of great respect for his brother and it can even be seen in MK4 where he wears his brother's costume to honor him.
Sub-Zero - Smoke: friend and ally basically; I think we need to have backstory on their friendship because the two seemed to have trusted and respected each other very much. I think Sub-Zero felt guilt in regards to Smoke being unsuccessful from his escape from the Lin Kuei and became a cyborg sent to destroy him. However, Sub-Zero never gave up hope on Smoke and I bet Sub-Zero did indeed help Smoke regain his memories in MK3 only to eventually be torn apart from each other again for many years. I think given Sub-Zero's great deal of faith in Smoke really shows that they had a strong friendship, perhaps one similar to that of Kitana and Jade's friendship.
Sub-Zero - Sektor: I think there may have been a bit of a rivalry between the two in the past and Sub-Zero probably sees Sektor as an overly zealous person to the Lin Kuei.
Sub-Zero - Frost: At first, Sub-Zero is very intrigued that she has powers similar to his so I think he sees a lot of potential in Frost and hopes to bring it out by personally training her. However, it seems that it's hard for him to handle how quickly Frost is progressing. He isn't fond of her arrogance and impatience and tries to teach her humility. I think he felt ashamed that when Frost betrayed him and eventually froze herself by trying to wield the powers of the Dragon Medallion that he failed to do a good job as a teacher/mentor to her.
Sub-Zero - Sareena: I don't think Sub-Zero trusts her all too much, especially since she was one of Quan Chi's assassins. However, he does respect the fact that she did help his brother so many years ago against Quan Chi and I think he kind of understands that she's not all bad and simply wants freedom. I think that he at least respects their mutual dislike for Quan Chi and Shinnok. I could probably see Sub-Zero eventually trusting her more.

Hmm some more...
Shao Kahn-Kitana: I agree with what XiaouhDun84 said, though I think Shao Kahn cared for, I doubt he has any problem with killing her if he has to.
Liu Kang-Mileena: Well, I imagine Mileena might hate him because Kitana's attracted to him, hmm, you know since Mileena's all getting what Kitana has? Could she try to win Liu Kang's affection? I doubt such a sceanario would ever come up, but it is something to think about. But as far as Liu Kang's concerned, Mileena's just a freak.
Shao Kahn-Mileena: I doubt Kahn really loves her, he just uses her. Mileena doesn't see it and tries to win her father's affection, but Kahn just doesn't care.
You know, back to the Mileena/Liu Kang thing, I once came up with to be used in a parody. Mileena going after Kung Lao because Kitana got Liu Kang.
Mileena: What are you doing tonight?
Kung Lao: Um... oh God... I... have a training appointing with Master Bo' Rai Cho. I need to learn how to... vomit like he does. (he looks repulsed as he says this)
Mileena: So you're chickening out?
Kung Lao: What?
Mileena: Look we both know you can't resist me. Come on, that bitch Kitana got Liu Kang, why can't I get you?
Kung Lao: Um.... oh God...

Kung Lao: Um.... oh God...
Excuse me but Kung Lao would be lucky if Mileena even paid him the slightest bit of attention I mean look at her, she's bloody gorgeous!

Could she try to win Liu Kang's affection? ....It was a joke... but anyway back on topic...
***Shao Kahn and Kitana***
Father-daughter love. I like to think Kahn has a soft spot, and that reflects in his love towards the daughter he practically kidnapped, and his wife, Sindel. My guess is that Kahn really cares about Kitana (during the Mk2 days), he loves her as if she was his real daughter, but when Kitana turns his back on him, that old beast we are used to returns. Therefore, he can see her now only as his enemy, and things would practically end like like his and Goros ending in MKD. Kitana only feels hate towards the monster who destroyed her life.
***Shao Kahn and Mileena***
He trusts her and finds loyalty in her like he cant find or see in Kitana, the problem is he doesnât love her. Mileena is his âservantâ?, a lucky servant for that matter, but he can only use her and pretend to love her. Mileena knows this and feels crushed, she can only hope her father sees her like he sees Kitana, so she hates himâ¦but loves him at the same time.
***Sindel and Shao Kahn***
Im pretty sure Sindel hates the bastard, no point in discussing that, but Shao Kahn actually loves Sindel. It was even revealed by the team that he has feeling for his bride, besides being the power hungry beast he is, he actually loves her. He knows she is not his, but he cant help it, he loves her like a true husband.
lol, they know
, thats why they said that.

Well yeah...
Shao Kahn-Sindel: I recently found out that Kahn actually loved Sindel, this kind of surprised me, but I wouldn't be surprised if the MK Team pretty much forgot about that. I mean, it's rather interesting to think he might've cared for her.
Shinnok and Quan Chi- Quan Chi feigned loyalty to the God, but deep down he was plotting to use him for his own ends and Shinnok didn't suspect a thing. Now if they meet again, I obviously think Shinnok would want to torture the bastard for the fake amulet bit.
Well that's all I'll do for now. I'll do more later of course!

Noob Saibot and Sub-Zero: Noob, I don't think really cares about his brother anymore while Sub might try to turn him back, but eventually he'd accept that his brother is gone and would tell Noob that he's no brother of his.
Noob Saibot and Sareena: Well I see Sareena being horrified as to what Noob has become, the man who defied Quan Chi and Shinnok had become their mindless slave and he didn't seem to care. Noob might want Sareena to join his side as his Queen when he conquers the Netherrealm.
Kung Lao and Shang Tsung: Basic despise, but when Shang Tsung killed Liu Kang, his hatred rose. Tsung probably doesn't really care about Kung Lao that much, but hates him nonetheless.
Shang Tsung and Quan Chi: Shang Tsung obviously never fully trusted Quan Chi (despite what Quan Chi's Deception trading card says) while Quan Chi was just using Shang Tsung.

Hmm let's see who haven't I done? Oh boy
Reptile and Kitana: I see Kitana pitying Reptile for what Shao Kahn did to his race. I liked how in Xiaoduh84's fanfic, she felt that if Reptile had known things could've been different, but Reptile just doesn't care about her.
Cyrax and Smoke: In MK3, I see them having a buisness relationship, if they met again. they might be a little awkward to see each other to see each other again but they'd have a common enemy in Sektor... speaking of whom.
Cyrax and Sektor: They might've been what Sub-Zero and Smoke were in their human days: Best Friends... but now with Sektor completely insane and Cyrax working for the special forces, they are worst enemies....

Here are two more:
Scorpion - Older Sub-Zero: Nothing but hatred, not only for mercilessly killing him, but also believing that the Lin Kuei warrior slaughtered his family and clan.
Scorpion - Noob Saibot: I think he would hate him even more now that's become a wraith of pure evil and had served Quan Chi for quite some time.
Scorpion - Sub-Zero (pre-retcon): I think Scorpion feels bad that he took the life of someone close to somebody, especially when he himself is angry at his murderer for the same thing thus vowing to protect this younger Sub-Zero. He sees this Sub-Zero as someone who is more on the honorable and merciful side.
Scorpion - Sub-Zero (post-retcon): Basically, he feels the same way he did about the Older Sub-Zero, especially since he isn't aware of there being two Sub-Zeros. After knowing that Quan Chi was the true murderer, Scorpion will no longer Sub-Zero. I guess maybe Scorpion feels sorry that he was after the wrong person for so long, although if he truly does think there's only one Sub-Zero as MKDA seems to imply, he'd still be pissed off at Sub-Zero for killing him in cold blood.
Scorpion - Quan Chi: basically, Quan Chi is Scorpion's most hated person. Need I say more?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Noob Saibot - Sub-Zero: He would see him as a nuisance and instead of caring for him like he did when he was human, he would want to destroy him, that way, the biggest part of his past will be gone. Either that or maybe Noob will offer Sub-Zero a place in his army as a top general or something.
Noob Saibot - Scorpion: He might actually thank him for making him this way and he might even try to get Scorpion to join him.
Noob Saibot - Sareena: Perhaps he'll try to get her to join him and rule by his side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Smoke - Sub-Zero: great friend and ally in his view and probably even sees him like a brother
Smoke - Sektor: uh...i'm thinking something much like I put for Sub-Zero's view of Sektor; in addition, I think Smoke would be disgusted with the way Sektor denounces his humanity since Smoke values his.
Smoke - Noob Saibot: hate him for using him for his own agenda

Kitana and Reptile:
Pity? Not one at all. I think Kitana hates Reptile as much as she hates Shao Kahn. She feels nothing but disgust towards the "belly crawler".
Mileena and Reptile:
Maybe there is a strange bond of "friendship", they help eachother, but Mileena feels the same disgust Kitana feels towards the lizard. I think neither respects the reptilian thing.
Reptile on the other hand, tries to be nice to both, he "cares", but when they piss him off, he attacks.

Reptile committed genocide during MK4. Only psychopathic behavior can lead to such degrees, and one of the two basic attributes of the psychopath
are that he:
-doesn't care
-doesn't love
-doesn't feel compassion
Thus I think Reptile cannot care, or THAT Reptile couldn't care.
