how to beat Motaro in UMK3?

i just picked UMK3 back up and im a little rusty. well what r some stratefies to beating Motaro? i hear ppl say he is soooooooo easy to beat, but i havent a clue what they r talking about. i dont think its super hard but ive never had a easy time against him. so what r these strategies u guys use against Motaro in UMK3 (not MK3 or MKT since he isnt the same in either)?

note that the chars i use mainly r Liu Kang, Reptile, Sub-Zero, and Sektor. i also use Scorpion here and there. so only strategies defeating Motaro useing them will be helpful for me. (also use Ermac once in a while but gotta unlock him first. and Noob Saibot and Rain arent in the arcade version :( )

Jump over him to the other side and punch him while you're in the air for a good combo starter, and then do your character's best combo on him. Keep doing this and he should fall easily.

Also, if you are using Sheeva, you can Teleport Stomp him repeatedly. Same goes for Scorpion's Teleport Punch.

Just do two hits of the combo if he blocks it, because if you continue chances are a hit will completely miss, and he'll grab you and punch. The only hits which do chip damage are the first two anyway. If he doesn't block, finish out the combo. Be careful with some characters because a lot of them always whiff the first hit of a combo no matter what. It's annoying, but then again, you shouldn't be playing against the computer.

MK2KungBroken what u mean i shouldnt be playing against the cpu anyways? playing against he cpu is always good practice. hell a lot of the time i get better competition against the cpu than against human players online. so whats wrong with playing agains the cpu?

I don't mind giving advice about playing against the CPU, but I don't condone playing against the CPU. A lot of people play against it and get frustrated very easily and resort to Robot Smoke to beat it, but there's countless ways to beat every character to make playing the CPU varied and fun, but even that eventually gets old. Find people to play against online.

one word, sub-zero (or two words maybe)

straight jumps if he fireballs, or teleports, come down with a punch starter and finish the combo, we wont block it half the time. also if he jumps at you, do a standing HP then a roundhouse followed by a slide, it hits everytime.

when u try to understand and get use to fighting him he is quite easy. when he does his multiple fireballs u can jump over all of them if u do it right, that way u wont stumble back and catch u with a hit. besides that, like everyone else said combos are a great way to beat him. just remember to block or jump out of the way when u see one of his moves coming.
