What a sigh of relief!
Ok, everyone has their own idea about the last secret... During fight night we were only told to keep playing to find out, because there was only one thing that hadn't been discovered yet.
Well, I've been doing a lot of playing since I got the game, and since they said to keep playing, I thought it had to have something to do with the actual game play. Something you could accomplish while you are fighting.
I have come across something (actually 2 things) that many of you may find to be really cool, as others will think they're stupid.
I will tell you one of the things which I have found here right now, the other I will tell after I meet MK_Legend (if it happens). If we don't meet I'll still tell you guys then (cmon it's only till Tuesday the 20th). Ok so here goes...
Remember you first heard this from Mr.Schpfmut! This has nothing to do with the Krypt or the Portal stage!
In any (maybe not any) match, hold the up direction as soon as the loading screen ends and the fight scene comes up. Continue holding up throught the match and you will start to notice something... The characters start to move progressively faster. As you continue to hold up they go even faster!
It's kinda tricky to hold up during the whole match, you'll need to let go as you need to do certain moves, but you'll get used to it and like it! Not only is the speedy game play kool, but it actually makes you better cause you are constantly side stepping.
Enjoy! if you don't believe me... just turn on your game for a match or two to try it out! I haven't tested it in Vs mode but it definately works in arcade.
Hint for the next one: it has something to do with the magical block! Please let me know what you think of what I have found, I will comment back, but till Tuesday... Peace!

well my cousin and i were playing mkda and i tried holding up on the directiohn pad and the characters started moving faster. i was fighting as shang tsung and i noticed that fighting with his sword he alot quicker. the move where he spins the sword around was really fast. maybe i'm just seeing things but thats what i noticed.

Congrats Mr.Schpfmut. I did notice that the gameplay speed does increase by about 20%. I know alot of the members will not accept this for what it is, but you are probally the first person in months to actually reveal something that was not bogus and is in fact a secret. Hats off to you brutha

Thank you! We have some believers! I would not post crap about this game cause I'm not that kind of person.
It has worked best for me with Sub-zero and Quan Chi. Those characters may not really matter for the results, but they're the two I've been playing most with recently. I've got some really cool stuff with Subby I'll let you know about soon... Nothing new on the combo side, but something with his gameplay.
*(It does also work with a few other characters, and I'm going to try to figure out what makes it do what it does before I reveal it)
TRY AGAIN FUZZ!

Well, I tried it with Bo'Rai Cho (thought it would be easy to see an increase with him, lol), but couldn't get it to work, but I guess I believe you. You're not the kinda guy to post bs

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, I try. If you're still having problems with the 'hyper kombat,' start holding the up direction even during the loading screen so that it catches it immediately.
Sometimes you'll notice a change on your first move/combo, sometimes it'll take 20-30 seconds... I'm not sure why, but it happens like that.

#2!
Well, I haven't heard from MK_Lengend yet. We are supposed to play tonight but who knows... So, tonight wether he comes or not, I will tell you about my second final secret.
I know that holding up has made some of you better at fighting in this game as you do more sidestepping, but my second secret will help you to tear up the competition!
After work I'm gonna capture some vids of it in progress and break it down in two different rounds. The first round I'll just show off the secret so you can see exactly what it does, and the second round I'll show you how you can use it to your advantage.
You will get a kick out of this one!

Ok, no vid yet but I'm sure you guys can figure out how to do this. If not, too bad you'll have to wait for the video and see it for yourself. Here we go...
Instructions to execute automated blocking!
Choose Sub-Zero, he's not the only one this works with, but it will work 99% of the time if you do it right with him. I'm going to tell you how to do this with a small Dragon combo to give you the idea of it and it also works whith all of his combos if timed right.
Approch your opponent and do a combo. In Dragon start with 1,2,u+4 (hold up) and immediately hold block. If you do this right Sub will start to side step and not be blocking yet. As soon as your opponent attacks you (as in right as hes about to punch you in the face) Sub will block at the last instant! Note: this will not block low attacks!!!
So, basically just attack (I'm almost positive you need to use a combo) then hold up and block as soon as you press the last attack button to initiate an automated block.
Once you get the hang of this you can use both the 'Hyper Kombat' and the 'Automated Block' together to stomp your foe. This is because they both require you to hold up.
I will have a video up hopefully sometime tonight. Please if you dont understand or have a question just ask. I don't think it's that complicated to pull this off but I may have been a little too wordy.
Enjoy!
Please comment!
And tell everyone in the General Discussion who doesn't come here anymore to check this out! Peace.

Wow, these sound pretty cool. I don't actually own the game but my older brother just rented it so I may have a chance to try it before it goes back. One question though; what system are you playing MKDA on? Since some people here haven't been able to work your first secret maybe it's exclusive to the console that you're using (in the which case there might be other secrets, that are similar in nature that are exclusive to the other consoles).

Couple this "auto-blocking" with MKL's "block trick" and you'd have a super power with good ol' subby.
For those of you who don't know what the block trick is...it works wonders against Sonya's mixups. Press Down+Block, then while still holding Block, go to Neutral (let go of Down). So it looks like this:
[Hold Down]+Blk~[Release Down]
Do it anytime you suspect a low attack (works best vs Sonya) and do it quick.
