I cant do the Dead Pool Fatality

I'm playing Mortal Kombat 2 on MAME (The game is version 3.1) and I can't do the Dead Pool Fatality. I tried holding LP and LK buttons together, but I couldn't do an uppercut, while holding those buttons. Any help? Does this have to do with the fact that I changed button controls? I changed it like this:

HP - A
HK - S
LP - Z
LK - X
BLOCK - C

The keyboard blocks input when you try to press 4 keys at a time.

The same thing happens to me. But what I do is the uppercut, then immediately press LP+LK after I do the uppercut. Works every time.

I never had a problem with that. Are you using letter keys for directions too?

The directional keys were set up in a random way when I first downloaded MAME, but I managed to set them the right way.

you can make few butons for one hit, mame allows you i.e. make LP "G" and "L" for example and LK "J" and "L" again, now just hold L and do an uppercut, you can use hsmoke morph in umk3 with the same trick by holding just back and one button

Or you could just set up your keys the best way. WASD for directions and the 6 keys above arrows for other stuff.
