Forum games are pretty popular so I have an idea
that MIGHT work...

Participants select 1 character from the list and assume
the role of that character for the game.
The game is played in a knockout tournament style.

The combat itself is rock, paper, scissors style...
...In each round both players PM the host, with a
message saying either: Uppercut, Throw or flying kick.
Uppercut beats flying kick,
Throw beats uppercut,
Flying kick beats throw.
If both players choose the same move, then it's a draw and the round starts again.
If a player wins, they are thru to round 2. The losing
player is knocked out of the tournament.

The available characters would be:
1-Kintaro
2-Jax
3-Nightwolf
4-Rayden
5-Ninja Smoke
6-Kung Lao
7-Sindel
8-Reptile
9-Kano
10-Baraka
11-Cyrax
12-Johnny Cage
13-Shang Tsung
14-Sub-Zero (unmasked)
15-Kabal
16-Motaro
17-Jade
18-Cyber Smoke
19-Stryker
20-Classic Sub-Zero
21-Goro
22-Scorpion
23-Mileena
24-Rain
25-Liu Kang
26-Noob Saibot
27-Kitana
28-Ermac
29-Shao Kahn

Basically, every MK 1-UMK3 Character means 32
fighters- a perfect set-up for a tournament.
