I'm at the point now where I can go through the game with Scorpion on max difficulty without continuing. Sometimes, it isn't all that challenging, but other times the AI goes crazy. Out of the blue it seems to get ten times as hard...it's attacks are almost flawless and it's SUPER AGGRESSIVE. The funniest part is that this usually lasts for only one match. After that it plays normal. It seems like the AI can't make up its mind whether of not it wants to be challenging or ridiculously hard. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, I agree.
Sometimes it feels like the AI just gets so pissed off that it manages to counter everything, ESPECIALLY if the character has a reversal.
Other than those times, it isn't challenging at all anymore smile.

LOL. I can see the day when consoles get up and start choking players with cords for winning too much. grin

Ive noticed it too. I wish there was like an even higher difficulty where every match was like that. Max is too easy unless the ia decides to get really smart, like every one described above.

I've found that this happens once you string a number of wins together (on any difficulty). Once you get a win streak up to around 5 or 6, I find the opponent AI goes out all to destroy you, and can even be quite cheap at times.. Then you lose.. then the next fight is back to the difficulty you expect...

Which makes me wonder why put the difficulty % before the fight, since it seems to be inaccurate.
