I love collection Mortal Kombat movies. The fact that so much has been coming out on bluray makes it even better. Here is what I think of so far:

Five Deadly Venoms: Scorpion and Snake and of course all the ninjas have a very similar design.

Big Trouble in Little China: Raiden

Enter the Dragon: The whole tournament aspect, Bolo for Goro, Bruce Lee for Liu Kang. While there is no "old man" you can pretty much assign that to his teacher. I think Han captures the Shang aspect nicely though even though he doesn't exactly fit the scenario.

Blood Sport: Man is there any better example of Johnny Cage....nut punch to boot??

I have never found a solution for Kano. I don't even know if it exists.

As for Cynthia, I know there has got to be some prototype. While No Retreat No Surrender 2 has the hand band thing, I just can't see this as being a collection piece. There has got to be something that directly inspired the team. Who knows.

Kano was really just inspired by the Terminator, in terms of look. I don't know where they came up with the criminal background from. I guess gangster characters like members of the Yakuza and Triads are common in kung fu flicks so they were just going for an archetype.

And you already mentioned Big Trouble in Little China, but only in the context of Raiden. The truth is, Shang Tsung is almost entirely Lo Pan. Right down to all the stuff about being sent to please his gods by "unbalancing the furies".

Some other known...Big Trouble in Little China when one of the bad guys inflates himself and blows up in chunks,it reminds me of Kitana's kiss of death fatality directly,Predator, the MK cyborgs influenced by the predator with the dreadlocks and sub Zero's fatality when the Predator rips a head by the spinal cord, the classic german silent cinema movie Nosferatu,Baraka's face influenced by vampire face.
