I really curse Midway and SEGA for this exclusivity. By the way, I want to know: Is it possible to convert the Dreamcast ISO to work in PS2? Anyone ever tried? I think this is a little absurd, but I cannot find Dreamcast anymore in my country.

I would also like to play MKGOLD damn bad. I never had the chance to play it.

Btw I did a search on Ebay and they doesn't even sell MKGOLD games anymore, it is too rare.

I would not buy a Dreamcast just to play the game however.

I get the ISO somewhere and it works very bad with a em. called chankast. No sound, graphics bug, and a lot of problems. I love this game, but this exclusivity is my pain...

The only way to play MKG is pretty much on a real Dreamcast. I don't think Chankast does it well yet, despite how well it does emulating DC for other games. MvC2 is actually pretty damned decent on there.

And there is no way to convert the Dreamcast game to work on anything else.

Although, if Nintendo really wants to win over a die-hard chunk of the gaming community, they would be negotiating to make the Wii play Dreamcast games wink

How F'ing sweet would that be?
can't you buy it for PS1? If you have it for PS1, you can play it for PS2

The PS1 only have MK4, and I have already. Mortal Gold is exclusive for the Dreamcast. Curse Midway forever for this. Even Resident Evil 4 is no more gamecube exclusive. Curse Curse Curse...furious

Yeah and MK4 for PS1 was terrible. Similar to MK4 for PC.

An arcade perfect port of MK4 would be fun. I'd like to see it some day. I still prefer MK4 to MKG in terms of graphics and character balance.

I just bought MK4 for PC for 6$ on Ebay, did I made a mistake?

I used to have MK4 for the PS but I don't have the game anymore, I'm hoping that the PC version will have better graphics... did I made a mistake?

I found MK Gold and a Dreamcast to play it on pretty easily. And the price is pretty cheap these days. Just look in independant video game stores (not EB etc.) and you should be able to find it. I've seen MK Gold twice (one of which I bought) and both were the non (less) buggy red version, so they are around, if you look in the right places.

I much prefer MK Gold to my PS MK4, however the DC controller is TERRIBLE for MK! So if they released an arcade perfect MK4 that can be played on the PS consoles, I wouldn't hesitate to get it.

Just curious, would people prefer Midway to re-release an arcade perfect MK4 or MKG for the current consoles???

With net play would own too, MK4 / G can be pretty fun if you're not looking for high level gameplay.

If Midway learn to make a game collection like Street Fighter Zero Fighters Generation or King of Fighters Orochi, I say that they could make both games to us play.

A perfect port of MK4, without Goro and those other things that only the arcade had. And Mortal Kombat Gold, with all those new characters, weapons, costumes, Goro, Noob and Meat.

Would be nice.

MK4 for the PC has basically the same graphics as MK4 for PS1. I think it had better lighting effects.

There are programs that let you put in the character models from MKG so that you end up having something that looks nicer thant MK4 for PS1 if you can find them.

No it only replaces the model's skin. All the moves and specials stay the same, including sound effects.

The sound effects can be changed with MK4strip. I was playing with that for a while and put in all MK2 and UMK3 sound effects at one point. I don't have all the MKG sound effects.

I think if whomever was developing MK4strip and MK4 enhanced continued to do so we'd see new moves and animations going in as well. The character animations are stored in files that can be put into MK4pc from MKG but I dont think it works right. I also dont think anybody is developing these things any more so chances are its not going to get any better.
