It's the best MK 2d fighter ever. Everybody is already available, in the selection screen. Can you get Rain, noob-Saibot, and human smoke, already available in UMK3, and the other ports? No. Not at all. that's why MKT needs to become playable, if it isn't already.

Human Smoke is immediately available in UMK3. Plus, who cares about Rain and Noob? UMK3 is better.

By the way, MKT Greatest Hits PS is playable. The regular MKT and N64 MKT are blasphemus.

i really enjoyed playing MKT when i was like 7. Now, i wished i could've bought it for the ps when i had the chance. Now, the runner up game, UMK3 on the Armageddon game is all i have left to play the classics. Buy it, love it, keep it, cherish it; one of the best MK CLassics u'll ever own...

i don't like only for three characters...
mktrilogy is a very underrated game....
it adds to UMK3:

1)johnny cage,rayden,baraka,rain,noob saibot,human smoke without secret code,sheeva(she misses the UMK3 version of sega genesis),chameleon/khameleon,shao kahn,motaro,kintaro,goro.
2)all stages from mk1 to umk3
3)more secrets to vs screen and shao kahn treasure
4)aggrssor(underrated thing),very similar to Street Fighter one but effective aganst the bosses of the game
5)faster gameplay than UMK3(not better gameplay,but a bit faster)


and theese aren't minor thing.
i like a lot UMK3 also,but really mk trilogy is the best mk game ever!

the 3D games are good but not masterpiece(except for shaolin monks):
MK Gold is beautyful but unluckly it get outs on dreamcast a low selling console;mk DA is very good but far away from UMK3 and MKtrilogy,Deception and Armageddon are simply good games,.

1. The bosses are lame, you forgot classic Raiden, Kung Lao, Jax and Kano, and most of them are unbalanced beyond belief.
2. Wrong. Some MK1 stages are missing.
3. Whoopdie-doo.
4. Aggressor sucks. It makes the characters way too strong. It was a lame idea.
5. Maybe a little faster, but not better.

I think people like Jared Jayrod can't stand MKT because its really hard to find, specially for Playstation 1. The game was made back in 1996 or 1999, I think. Who could not have liked it? Maybe I can understand if it was more difficult for unskilled players because of aggresser mode, and faster gameplay, but it was everything UMK3 was, plus more. I just dont know why MK:T so underrated.

MKtriology is my all time favourite MK game though its true that aggressor was stupid but you can turn it off. sadly it doesnt include noobs dorfen but i suppose that would make noob cheap beyond return

I am sure no one would care how unbalanced or broke it is as long as its enjoyable.

and btw,i ahev also a different opinion about "broken" characters....a true master can win using the lower/worst characters,and i'm very satisfied when i defeat Shao Kahn without using kontinues with a low-tier.
A novice will use the same two-three character he can use and will not enjoy the game.

Brokenness doesn't apply to 1 player because every character can do well against the CPU.

In a 2 player match, if 2 people of similarly high skill level play each other and 1 picks Noob and the other pics a really low tier character, the person playing Noob would have to mess up pretty bad to lose because Noob and Rain are broken and incredibly overpowered.

It's like saying in a shoot out a real master should be able to win by shooting spitballs against someone with uzis akimbo. It takes more than skill, it takes either a massive screw up on the opponents part or an opponent that is vastly less skilled at the game.

trilogy is an amazing game....the 2 on 2 and 8 player kombat modes r without a doubt the coolest.....i would always morph into 13 people w shang tsung during a match....unstoppable
