I'll be honest, I use mame but not for playing purposes...I just like to screw round with games for historical aspects and just kinda like whoa I didn't know that was in there, or just to relive the past etc, I find it far too uncomfortable playing on a PC.

MK4 is not emulated yet, but I have a feeling it will be soon. I don't understand the uncomfortableness of playing games on computers, or watching movies, etc, that a lot of people have. =(

because.you're sitting at a computer lol
you're sitting mostly upright, RIGHT in front of the screen, playing on a keyboard and/or some crappy bootleg ripoff of Playstation controllers or something......
it's just totally not the same as sitting on a couch, or on the floor, or on a bed

I don't know, but Mortal Kombat Gold on Dreamcast is potent.

First, there are graphic cards (nearly every modern has one) with a TV-OUT so you can play on your TV.

Second, there are adapters for nearly every System (PSX, XBOX, GC, DC, SNES ect.) to use those gamepads on a PC.

Third, there are Arcade Sticks aviable for the PC that are really good (X Arcade, SlikStick, HotRod)

And the major point is that you can play Online without the grace of Midway to release a Fuc**** MK Collection witch is playable online and Arcade perfect. (I am sure more people would play the classics online than MK: D.

I bet you'll see it within a year. MK4 is getting pretty old now. Some of the MAME developers are pretty adamant about not emulating stuff that's still too "fresh" and obviously MK4 doesn't fall under that category at this point.

Even disregarding that, there are people out there who, for better or worse, often make hacked versions of MAME (or more likely hacked versions of MAME32, the Windows GUI version) that play fairly new games....IE, there's a version out there that plays the arcade version of SNK vs. Capcom and all the newest King of the Fighters games : \

Shouldn't be long now.

I still hate playing on PCs
I'm not going to bother spending ANY money upgrading a PC just so it can play like a console

sorry I'm not a computer-nerd, i kinda hate computers but that's a different story

and if i were to get an arcade stick I'd build it myself lol

Someone I talked to online about a MAME problem I have saud he had MK4, MK Gold, MKT PSX, and MKT N64 on MAME. Don't know if he is telling the truth though. If MAT3 does have MK4, and UMK3 or any other MK game on it, hopefully there will be no glitches, or half a$$ed gameplay on it like in MAT2.
