Is MKG canon?

Okay so we all know it is, but it doesn't have to be, check this out:
Cyrax: His bio does not check out, it does not match the story in MKDA. His ending happened, but it had nothing to do with Shinnok, as me mentions it IN the ending, so he can say that it did not happen exactly as we seen.
Baraka: Well, his ending obviously didn't happen.
Kung Lao: His ending could have happened WITHOUT him being in MK4/G, it had nothing to do with Shinnok's invasion at all.
Kitana: Her ending COULD have happened, but that means that Mileena was revived and then died again, might as well think she was never revived at all. OR, if her ending DID happen, then why is Mileena alive again in MKD.
Mileena: Her ending didn't happen.
Sektor: Didn't happen either.

So you see that MKG has a very weak addition to the story, and half of it doesn't even check out. So is it possible that midway eliminated MKG from the picture.

I believe some of it is canon, it's really just an upgraded MK4. Every MK game has non canon endings, and the MK team are famous for changing storylines for no apparent reason (look at Johnny Cage's "death" for example, which seems to have been overwritten completely in MKDA).

No, no, I know that. I just don't see why Cyrax's BIO doesn't check out. I mean it's highly possible that Baraka, Kitana, Mileena, Cyrax, Kung Lao, Sektor although could have had a somewhat-significant role DURING the MK4 storyline, they seem like they didn't necessarily contribute to either side in the war against Shinnok. Well, I guess the only way to make sure is to check Mileena's and Baraka's bios for MKD. But I'm saving that for when I GET the game, enjoy it in good quality, not some pictures on the web.
