Yes he's in the game, but you most CERTAINLY do NOT want to bug him. Noob along with Smoke and Jade in that game represent all that is evil, sick, and twisted in that game.

They are hardcore hidden characters, which probably defined what hidden characters should be like. Reptile defined "method finding" for hidden characters however, though he was fairly easy to beat. To this day I probably couldn't beat Jade in MK2. Smoke I think falls for the jumping back into projectiles, but that might have only been SNES.

smoke and noob saibot fall for the projectile trick, working best with scorpion. and even tho jade is the hardest of the three i usually can beat her with baraka (because of his jump kick). she has a pattern but its harder to beat her at it.

I beat Jade in the arcade by using the standard "make them jump at you then land the move of your choice" routine. I crouch down, wait for her to walk towards me, then I jump back and she follows. Though it only works with about half of the characters, using the Player 1 side.

With smoke I usually jump kick and let him block it, then he always throws a spear, which I block and counter. It's best to counter with an uppercut because that puts you at the perfect distance to just jump kick at him again and repeat the process.

And come to think of it, I'm not sure if I've ever fought Noob!

Jade, Smoke, and Noob cannot be hit with projectiles in MK2. They'll all go right through them. I've fought Jade many times and beaten her. You just gotta use the old "jump back" trick. You duck, then jump backwards as they come toward you. They jump as well, then you go up and jump kick them. If they jump late, you can uppercut. Smoke will also fall for this trick and I'm sure Noob would. Oh yeah, and they don't fall for the jump back trick if you have Liu Kang or Kung Lao for some reason. They just throw their projectiles and you land on them. Ouch.

Dion seriously needs to banned, gimmick or not.

Correct. I distinctly remember using a spear on Smoke, now that you mention it.

As far as the MK2 "jump back trick" is concerned, I'm pretty sure the people who can use it are:

-Baraka
-Johnny Cage
-Jax
-All 3 male Ninjas
-Shang Tsung

It works against all CPU opponents(except Kintaro and Shao Kahn). It does work on Noob but you have to be frigging SWIFT. And again, I'm pretty sure you have to be Player 1.

yes it really works I do it all the time instead of actually trying.

Actually Smoke is faster and harder to beat than Noob Saibot. MK2 Challenger Hack version has him on the battle plan along with the rest of the secret characters
