Do you have a ripped version of the game or is it the actual game on the CD? Because yeah, the music is awesome.

lol, I wasn't trying to be mean but I have to stress the music is great and if it isn't working for him, he needs to try and get it working. The game overall is a let down but if you add that music to it, it really increases how enjoyable playing is.

Guys,
If you're downloading/cracking/warezing MK4, it needs to stop. The creators were kind enough to give us MK on the PC, show some appreciation and actually pay for the game.
If the Midway people are reading this and seeing people download a game for free that they were trying to sell, it gives them NO incentive to release MK games in the future and that pretty much explains why they never released MKDA/MKD/MKSM in the first place.

Indeed, absolutely outrageous, that people would actually want to download MK4...

Reminds me of "We worship you, you the Metallica fan. UNLESS...you downloaded Until it Sleeps from Napster."

Oh I bought MK4, that's for sure. Because I bought it before I got to actually play it. Sigh. That game could have been good.
But the music rocked

Yeah, if you don't have the CD with audio tracks (Prison Of Souls FTW).
And to be honest, I haven't bought any of my legal MK4 copies...
...'cause I've won the PSX one and received my PC one as a b-day gift

I bought the game on Ebay from a UK store, it is the legit game

i gave enough money to midway.
Just to be sure, play the disc in your stereo or a media player just to see that there are CD music tracks on the disc.
If that works, make sure your system is setup to use the correct CD drive for the music, should be an option somewhere in the "Sound & Audio" section of control panel.
I think MK4 was pretty picky about what drive was used for the CD audio, i think it had to be the first CD drive on the system.

Ok I hear the music BUT only when I put my CD in the CD drive, is there any way I can hear it without having to put my CD in the CD drive?
Also I would like to resell the game and keep the game on my hard drive... but if I can't hear the music without the CD I guess I will have to keep it
unless there is a way to hear the music without the original CD
You are right TakerMK the music in MK4 is really excellent

You need to keep the CD in there or else the music won't work.
Really, most copies of MK4 don't work at all unless the CD is in the drive at the time, so I'm not sure how you're getting it to even run without the CD in it.
But yeah, the music is never copied to the hard drive like the rest of the game, so you have to keep the CD in there so the game can run the music

You can put together MP3s you want to use for the music, create a .cue sheet for them, and load them up with virtual CD drive software, but that gets pretty annoying to put together when you can just put the CD in.
