I could have sworn that (and I could easily be wrong hence the question) that these two were the same race as Reptile!? Can anyone clarify this and did they have a story?

Khameleon was of the same race as Reptile. Her story was she joined the Earth warriors and hoped to find Reptile and warn him it was Shao Kahn who killed their people.

Chameleon had no story.

Yeah but her story never mentioned her joining the Earth warriors, that was only in her ending which probably didnt happen

Actualty it did, here's Khameleon's story:

"Reptile was once thought to be the last member of an extinct race of reptilian creatures, until the appearance of Khameleon. She alone knows the truth about their history and chooses to fight on the side of Earth, making the last survivors of their race lethal enemies."

I think Khameleon could make a great addition to future MK games. Her story is interesting.
