The whole "In Game Moves List" thing is a relativly recent idea. When MK came out, no games had it. It started to get popular on certain home system fighting games which included "Practice Modes" around the early days of the PSX... Today, most fighting games have practice modes and most have the move lists... just kind of an updating thing.
