When something better than UMK3 comes out, I'll let you all know, because it still hasn't happened yet.

I just was looking at their website and saw the arcade treasures thing, and thought, "Wow, they will do this, but won't release the old school MKs on one disc as a collection. Truly disturbing." Hopefully they will in time.

Mortal Kombat is Midway's goldenchild. I am sure that when MK collection is release Midway could price it above the normal $45 and it will sell like hot cakes. I bet the mean reason it wasnt found on Midway treasures is because that MK collection will be release on a stand alone disk with all MK games.

does it even really matter that much anymore? they blew their chance for last year. just emulate mk1-umk3 on mame and get mk gold for dreamcast.

I already have all the games emulated, but there's still a certain satisfaction behind having a special edition kompilation disc.

The reason why MK games aren't on the Treasures is because these are the first games that Midway made. Back in the 80s. Also, any MK game would have made it Mature, and Midway didn't want that. It's a great game anyway.

I specially didn't ask why they weren't on the Treasures game, I just wondered why they would go as far as to dig that deep right past MK and not make the MK one or even speak of it.

I would hope Acclaim doesn't have any rights to arcade stuff. That would be sad. They did do a fantastic job on MK1 and MK2 for SNES though.
Once Midway realizes how much money they could make off of a MK Kompilation, they'd probably make it. No, They WOULD make it.
