MK 2 PC, I need help

I just downloaded Mortal Kombat 2 on PC (non rom) and it doesn't seem to work. I see the acclaim logo, prob and the dragon logo, but as soon as I get to the character select screen, all is black except some faint shadows of kombatants which are not projecting properly. There is also an error when a demo is tried to run and the game closes. does anyone know how to fix this? Any help will be greatly appreciated as MK 2 is my favourite MK game and I'm sure is one of yours.

What OS are you using? What are your comp specs? And have you seen MK2 for PC before? Because it sucks.

I'm having the same problem, pretty much. Here are my comp specs:

Windows ME
192 MB RAM
700 MHz processor
32 MB GFX card (I think)

BTW, I have the CD.

I've run the game in Win98 before without sound. That leads me to believe that it should work in WinME since thats the same as win98/win95/dos71. Of course the fact that WinME is a travesty against humanity might prevent it from working. ME really is terrible.
