Hello there. I'm building an arcade cabinet to house multiple MK boards. I had purchased this CGA->VGA video converter to use an old (but great looking) CRT computer monitor:
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/cga-ega-yuv-to-vga-converter-pcb-gbs-8220/prod_291.html When I fire up any Midway game (MK1, MK2, NBA Jam), the video output to the monitor is all jacked up. I think it has something to do with the 54Hz refresh rate that Midway uses.
Has anyone built a cabinet using something like this? If I want to use a computer monitor, is there a better converter to use? I'm trying to avoid getting an old/heavy/worn-out arcade monitor...
any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated!
thanks,
