MK Arcade Kollection (PS3) Lag and UMK3 Kombat Kodes

Well I downloaded the Kollection today and a buddy of mine did too. When we tried to play a private match we were suffocated by lag. I tried to play an online ranked match and again it wasn't playable. Any of you have huge lag issues?

Also.. the Kombat Kodes for Milleena/Ermac/Classic Sub don't seem to work!
