I liked MK: DA better myself. To me the MK team didn't focus on adding to the fighting aspect of MK: DA in Deception. Instead they just added pointless new stuff like puzzle and chess, instead of improving what they had in MK: DA. Also not to mention that Deception was slower than MK: DA. MK: A is the improvment I was looking for in Deception. The MK team has added to the fighting aspect of MK. I can't wait.

MKDA is much better than MKD for me.

It kinda seems like they regressed with Deception, which must've been kinda hard since they were supposedly using an already existing engineconfused

exactly, thats how i felt with MKD. it seemed less than what MKDA was. i think this is the addition of MK Konquest, Chess, Puzzle and Online. But when i went back to play MKDA, it seemed much more fluid to me.

I agree that MKDA is better than Deception.

For me there are a few reasons. The roster of MKDA for one thing appealed to me far more than MKD. I liked/ didnt mind the majority of the cast, whereas in MKD I only really like about 5 of them, the rest i dont like or hate.

Also, MKDA was completely new. By that I mean, it no longer made MK a 2D game. The three fighting styles thing wasvery innovative. Also, the storylein was excellent. The storyline of MKDa was very well developed and explored thoroughly (with a few exceptions). Certainly more so than Deception. Konquest was also good for exploring characters plots in a little more detail.

Deception was nothing new. Same three style system, same engine etc. Like i said, the character roster didnt appeal to me personally. I didnt like the Death trap idea (tho easy enough to turn off). Deecption was basically a rehash of MKDa, and a poor one. Konquest also had many problems. The plotline wasnt that well developed in my opinion, nor was it explored to its full potential (eg killing the Famous Five, then bacially nothing about them).

Despite how much I like Puzzle and Chess Kombat, MK:DA was way better. It was nothing speical much- everything is quite the same. Konquest in both games were not one of my faves, but MKDA proves to be much more worthy. But hell, (Sorry to be off topic) both of them are better than MK4/MKG imo (I know how much it differs greatly, but it's better than twisting your opponent's leg/arm and hearing them wince in pain). EDIT: The storylines in MKD weren't that well developed as well.

I like Deadly Alliance better than Deception. The characters were much better in DA, and so was the storyline.

But Deception is still a very good game. I don't like the characters as much as Deadly Alliance's characters, but I still enjoy it.

I think of Deception's storyline as a sequel to Deadly Alliance, instead of it being it's own unique storyline.
