grin Here's some tips that were not in the walkthrough; subzeros combo:
Freeze your opponent, then run up to them and hit HP,HP,LP,LK,HK, back
and HK (Start holding back a second after you hit the first HK), you don't
have to freeze them, but if you don't they'll probably throw you when you run
up to them. (The combo is about the same damage as an uppercut, but a
lot more fun to do).
Mortaro: Keep jumping back and jumpkicking forward. Everytime
you jump back he'll follow, then when you jump forward he jumps toward
you and you HK him. Stay focused though because he'll transport himself
to the other side of the screen. It's still easy enough to beat him though,
just don't try using projectiles or they won't work, or sub-zeroes Ice freeze
will bounce back and freeze him. wink

Is there anyone who DIDN'T know these things? You know, because the game has only been out for almost ten years now.

Yeah leave out the LP on the CPU so it does more damage, and against a person, do the same, but add a regular uncomboed HK, or LK after the combo instead of the B+HK, so if they block it still does even more damage than the regular combo, or sometimes they won't block it and that's a lot more damage,

Here's one you probably know. But it's fun. Jump at your opponent, then HK. If they do nothing BOOM its a jumping HK. If they block, duck, jump, run or rear bach for a roundhorse, hit the freze clone when pixels away from the impending reversal. Works every time.

The underlying story of that post is abuse Sub Zero's ice clone, it was a breaking point for him in MK3 (thats why they changed it signifcantly in UMK3)

DreemerNJ was just summing up the post in the simplest terms.

Exactly, I wasn't disputing your tip, I just meant that you described one of the useful instances of the ice clone, and emphasized that there are tons more because of its abuseability :)

Cool, but ya know. It only cant be BLOCKED in UMK3. it can still be used to beat REVERSALS. So its still cheap.

Actually they greatly limited how close you can do it to your opponent. That is the limiting I was talking about. You have to be a decent distance away for it to work. Before you could literally jump on your oponent and do it.
