I hope they will MK for DS also, but the DS does have a few fun games. Mario and goldeneye may be 64 remakes but they are still fun, and there will be plenty of other fun games coming out for the DS.

Mortal Kombat will not be a funny little game for NDS.
So there will not be a release on this console.

Case for: 2 screen fatality idea potential
Case against: Not much other uses for the DS other than having all neccasary buttons at last...
I doubt it...Maybe they'll continue on gameboy advance, but certainly not on DS.

Mortal Kombat on the DS would be very interesting indeed. Like recreating MK1 would innovative features the DS can offer. The touch-screen, microphone and dual screen could really make for an excellent MK game. Imagine being able to blow on the DS to make Sonya blow her kiss of death.

Well, actually, Goldeneye for the DS (and GC/Ps2/XB) isn't the 64 remake. It's a new game. It's called golden eye cause the main char has a "golden eye" that does all this stuff.
Anyways, MK for DS would be interesting. I wonder what they'd do with the touch screen. Interactive fatalities?

I would just assume an MK game on a Nintendo system would suck. MK3 snes, UMK3 snes, MKT snes, MKA gba, and any MK for GB were all horrible gameplay wise and many were horrible graphics wise too. MK4 seemed ok but that game sucked in all versions, same with MKD and MKDA.
I think its time to give up on Nintendo for MK games.

I don't think so, look at the PSP's review for Treasures LOL, hell if it can't handle that I'd hate to see what Deception will look like on the PSP, anyway I think UMK 3 would rock on the DS, it has the D-Pad for it, plus the buttons, and yeah the two screens, I'm sure they can come up with something original.

MAT games are emulated on the PSP. Deception has been built, so it will be a lot better. And there is absolutely no way that Midway would even consider altering the features of the old MK games is they put it on the DS. Making it utilise both screens would need a lot of reprogramming, and they won't do it. The only versions of MK that could come out on the DS are the normal versions of MK1 2 and 3. And I can't see that happening.
