I hate to have to burst your bubble, but there has been a compilation disk "strongly" rumored to come out after every MK since MK4. But there is nothing wrong with wishful thinking i suppose.

I really do hope this is true!!! I will be one of the first to buy it when, and if it comes out!! I have been looking forward to one for awhile now.

Negative, its true this time because Ed boon said he would love to work on a compilation album after mk6, I dont know how much more strong rumers get started if you know what Im saying.

when did he say he wanted to work on it after mk6? last i remember, he just said he wanted to work on one period. but he's been saying that for years.

check the fight night script, its not that long, and he sais word for word : That is something I would love to do after mk6 (a kompilation album) Its on mortal kombat online.

i would replace umk3 with mk trilogy and replace mk4 with mk gold and ad mortal kombat mythologies and by the way is MKSF offical game to the story line and if it is add that one to

they should of just made one for 2003. making a collection of old games in 2005 when the ps3, xbox 2, and possibly gamecube 2 are coming out? people will be emptying their wallets for those systems and new games. if it comes out in 2005 on the current systems (ps2, xbox, gc), people will be buying the newer systems. if it comes out on the newer systems, people won't waste 50 bucks on a collection of old games for their new system. so where exactly is it going to fit if it comes out after mk6? obviously the mk community. but the mainstream, i just don't see them grabbing it in 2005 the same way as if it came out last year.

but if it comes out the same time as mk6 or a month later (say december), then just ignore everything i just typed. but 2005 will be a hard year for any game to come out on current systems. especially a compilation of old games.

I dont disagree with you, Im banking on the fact that this time it must be true, if he sais it so many times one of them at least has to be true. (Im thinking they will make one at some point)

just emulate mk1-umk3 on your computer and buy a mk4 pcb along with a supergun (allows you to play arcade pcb's on a tv). that's all you need for a mk collection .

look, if I cant play a basic mk2 cd on a playstation 2 its gonna be as difficult as hell to play all these classic mk games on the playstation, then there are issues such as some people have an x box and so on and so forth. No no, there needs to be an official release,it could just be a short project, like the rerelease of the much loved MK1 and MK2 series, that way the issue could be taken care off becasue alot of people havent played those games (new mk fans) plus I want a cd version, because cartrlige life is very very short, while cd life is infinate if you take basic care of it. So thats what Im looking foreward too after mk6.

I will say this, with the release of the old school SF revamp coming, an MK collections game would be a good idea, but it has to happen soon. They need to just directly port the old arcade games as they are, and that would be simple, and if they really feel like it, take the time to fix up MKT, but this is too much work on something simply not enough people care about. I think the best idea would be to rerelease MK1, then MK2, and then UMK3, as MK Advance was a sin, all on Game Boy Advance within months of eachother, and see how they do, if they sell well, make the compilation game.

Thats what Ive been trying to say. Lets just first release the older games, like I said before, the much loved MK1 and MK2. In any order. The rest shouldn't be in heavy demand, they are on disk(more or less). That way they wont waist much time and can move on quickly to another game.

Bottom line, I think what should happen is MK1 and MK2 release, why waist more time on trilogy, or ultimate mortal kombat, see what im sayin, but practically these games (mk1 and 2) are near impossible to play on a cd platform. So I would be happy with any new news of mk1 and mk2 on disk.
