Ive played mk1 briefly and I liked it because it was very original, but the one that I liked the most is mk3 by far because it uses the most advanced engine of all, and its the coolest.

Mortal Kombat 3 was my least favorite.
It's still good though.

Trilogy aggrevated me beyond belief due to the loading time. And MK3 and UMK3 are fine two player, but the AI is so frustratingly cheap that it makes single player very un-enjoyable.

mk2, its too damn overrated, and i cant believe that some consider it better then mk:da, i only hate it for the fact of how its so overrated meanwhile no one even pays attention to the other great mk's like mk:da and mk1, so im saying mk2

MK2 is great and I do consider it better than MKDA. Many people look beyond feature to feature and remember the time in which it was released and what was currently out. It was different- unlike any other game out. This is not a cut to DA which is a very good game and is somewhat different than other fighters but many of those differences are not good things. Johnny T worked on MK2 and the characters that came out of it were so much better than what’s come out of DA.

I can't choose between 2 or Trilogy. My first instinct is to say MKT cause of the mass amount of characters, lots of stages, combos, and tons of extras. But it just did not have the magic of MK2 and it also does not have the pit 2 stage fatality.

MK3, because of the bad array of characters.

I love all MK fighting games. I do agree that MK2 is a bit over rated and I think that MK3 was under rated. My least fav MK would have to be MK4. To me it isnt a bad game. It is a good game it is just that if in MK collection( Midway or any MK staff if you read this: please bring a MK collection ASAP) I would play this game less than the others. I would still play every MK game heavy if in a collection disk, but if there were a counter on how many times I played it , MK4 would be the lowest.

I'd say MK II.

Because it's AI is too cheap and can do things you cannot. That always pissed me off.

UMK3 and Trilogy are the kings when it comes to AI cheating...

Hmm, I would have to say MK1. I know it was innovative at the time, but because of the drastic improvements over the life of the series, it just isn't a fav any more. MK2 has better graphics and sounds and characters, MK3/UMK3/MKT has better everything else.

I'm sorry, MK:DA can't rate higher than MK2.
Each Deadly Alliance character were assigned to a fatality, most of them will jump on you and stomp on you.
Mortal Kombat 2 had very cool fatalites, the best fatalities I've still seen in any game.
Thats probably the reason for it's high rank.
